Just got a call from the sales manager at the dealership, my car is about to be released from the port and they will give me an accurate eta later this week. He also tried to upsell me on the TRD exhaust and 3M paint protection, I politely declined so that there would be no further delays lol. This waiting game is torturous.

The clear bra for me is actually a dealer installed option and they cover like 16 ir 18 inches compared to factory covers like 10 or 12 inches. And the upsell, from sales perspective, i try to upsell on phone accessiries and cars the are pretty good about getting ppl to add to it more

Have not seen anything discussed about price? I just ordered my 10 S FRS. Auburn Al, port on 12th and delivery of 22. They were kinda of jerks to me thou. I was not expecting them to bend on price, but their mentality was "if you dont want it, we will have some one buy it tomorrow" I waited a few days deciding if my stubbornness to these a holes was more important then this amazing car. So i ended up buying it. 33,100
1600- tax
850- Bespoke- thought that was in price already, did i double pay
500- tint windows
600- some cat exhaust and
300- paint protection

How is that compared to rest. surely you guys did not going in there and haggle price down. Let me know, thanks...

The window tint price seems very high. I just did my BRZ for $180 from a very reputable place that has been in business a long time. What exhaust did you get?

Never pay the dealership to tint the windows, it's always at least DOUBLE what you'd pay anyone else and usually a worse tint. I mean it's just good business margin that they'd do the cheapest tint and mark it up as high as they can. I actually had them cut me a refund for the tint even though it was already on for a previous car. Of course I was still paying interest on it in the loan. :P

Paint protection too, that's just optional that you can shop around and get yourself.

I have another ETA of 7/12. No new excuses offered for this latest delay. If it isn't here by then, I might cancel. Our auto-x and track seasons only have another three months to go, the car's main purpose, and the car will be a MY older next month. It was an impulse buy and could become an impulse cancel.

I'll remember Scion corporate's casual attitude toward their customers, never having had anything like this abuse buying any Toyota before. All excuses given boil down to incompetent decisions being made by bean counters who forgot that Scion is supposed to introduce new buyers into the Scion/Toyota/Lexus lifetime car buying cycle. They don't appreciate that they're marketing not just any car here and ought to coddle their returning enthusiast and new conquest sales better than this.

I hope this isn't a systemic problem. It can't be blamed on cost cutting given TMC's latest glowing financial and forward looking statements. I think they're losing their North American focus as they ramp up production in China and India and take their bread-and-butter market for granted.
According to the NW sightings thread, Wilsonville Toyota has a 10 series FR-S at the dealership.

Yeti was kind enough to PM me about that. But as a fleet buyer I get below retail pricing if the car is first ordered through the fleet system. The Wilsonville car would be a retail deal. Thanks anyway, I'll try to remain calm until Friday!
