RCE tarmac 0s.. how do you dial in front camber?

Hey guys,

My plan is to run the RCE tarmac 0's with some 18 x 9.5 +40 TE37SLs with 245/35/18 tires.

Since the tarmac 0's do not come with camber plates, how do you adjust the front camber? Been doing research and from what I see, people need about -2.0 degrees of camber up front to make the 245/35/18 fit without rubbing.

Myles responded, saying that the slotted struts would allow me to dial in front camber without plates, but I am not sure how that works.. does anybody have a pic to illustrate this?

Thanks in advance!

Brian

I am guessing the front camber bolts is what he is referring to.

Stole this from a different forum, but here is an example of a slotted strut. You can easily see it comparing the upper and lower holes.

The slotted design will allow you to run an eccentric camber bolt to adjust the camber

Thanks,
Rick

Thanks Rick that was a clear illustration indeed

So I have to purchase some aftermarket front camber bolts, like the ones from whiteline?

You don't have to get camber bolts since the top holes are slotted. You can keep the stock bolt and the slots will allow some adjustment. That's how my KW V3's were adjusted on the front.

I don't think camber bolts will do anything if the slots are really wide. You're better off getting the OEM crash bolts. They're thinner than the OEM bolt and it will allow even more camber.

What @ayau said. Myles recommends the OEM bolts.

I wonder if they're available with RCE's pimpin' camber plates.

I just took mine for an alignment with no camber correction front or rear, but I am running stock wheels still. I need to decide if I am going to stick with 17's or move to 18's soon. Guess that will depend on whether I decide to go turbo or not...

Thanks guys.

So this is the ride height I am trying to achieve (This is speed element's FRS, on the same spec wheels and tires, but running some form of prototype coilovers)

How low do the RCE tarmac 0's go? Is this height achievable with the tarmac 0s? By all means, I want to go with RCE/KW over stance or BC if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Brian

I am at 1.25" all around and there is some room left, but not a lot. I think the 0's can probably hit 1.5" I can take a picture of mine if you would like and show you what the 1.25 looks like on stock wheels.
