I'll take the first plunge and say it's a cool car

It's the last "true" Saab before GM foddered the company, which means it has heritage. It likes to come up with new and exciting ways to physically harm you, which means you drive a mans car not a computer with 4 wheels. That Lighting blue. It's an f'ing hatchback

It's not Sub-Zero though because the chassis is pitifully ill equipped to handle the power output thus is turns like a container ship, and it's FF... Something that equates to performance in the same way CO equates to healthy breathing

Definitely a cool car, but not one I lust after. On paper it reminds me a lot of my daily driven Audi A3. 200+ hp Turbo inline-4, FF layout, around 3200lb, hatch, manual. Great for a daily driver, but less than optimal for twisty roads and tracks.

I say cool because Saabs are rare nowadays so the value and demand probably goes up therefore cool. Well, cooler than it used to be.

Since Saab is gone (sorta) they have fallen in a bit more into the car enthusiast side, more then ever are the Viggens and turbos being bought, used of course.

Viggen, the car that will do it's best to torque-steer your ass into a wall. I have a 9-3 tuned to 210HP and it's a handful, can't imagine a tuned Viggen... Anyone want a beater 9-3?

Lmao my dads stock Viggen tried to send us into the medium barrier a couple years ago... that was fun It doesn't help we have 00' so they have zero traction control.... and with 260+ going to the wheels, tire spin is a way of life

I know our mechanic built some kid a ~350whp viggen that snaps control arms like every other month, the thing eats E92 M3's for breakfast, and RS4's for lunch -.-

I bet, it feels unbeatable once the turbo spools. I don't get it, that feeling. Had a blown TBSS and the 210HP tune felt faster.

I know for the fact (when it comes to Viggens) they are hp & tq ratings are severely underrated (very similar to the SRT-4's). The Vigs consistently put down 215-220 @the wheels on dyno's, thats ~250-260hp @the crank. I've heard of an extremely rare case that put down close 230whp & 280 ft/tq bone stock

You should see the look of Sti & Evo's drivers faces when we they get a car length (or two) put on them from a highway roll

All this being said getting humbled by an E55 AMG kept the ego in check (dad wanted to see the difference between a fast car and 12s sedan)
