Damn meter maids!!!
On my old car I had a cop tell me "zip tires are not permanent." I said, "go ahead and try to remove the plate then."

He didn't think that was funny and didn't sign the ticket.

Also, I autoXed both Sat and Sunday this weekend and didn't snap an axle! I had my first class win Saturday and lost by five thousands of a second on Sunday.

Sorry for multiple posts but I'm on my phone and iPhone tapatalk doesn't have multi quote.

LOL I knew an MR2 guy who attached his front plate using a fat strip of velcro on the front bumper. He went in to get the ticket signed off... He wasn't expecting the cop to grab it and pull hard, and it pulled right off in his hands haha. Needless to say that didn't cut it.

Wow, really? Screws and bolts aren't permanent either. What if you put it on a temporary bracket that is zip tied that you can't see? I doubt they would even take a second look.

@Darrellbuddy321 I guess it's time for that front plate relocation kit so I can get it signed off... Then take it off again! Hahaha

Yeah, SF gets you every time. That's when I remember to check my reg sticks. Lol. But for the make he prob took it from your registration when he ran the plate. If you want you can just borrow a grimspeed kit at the next meet and pop over to a chp/pd station.

I saw two cars with orange wheels tonight. In the same parking lot. Blaine, you've started something you can't undo. One was some janky impreza that was plastidipped badly and the wheels were rattle canned orange. The other was silver, but hat legit powder coated orange spokes with polished lips.

None look as good as mine. I had an older guy at autoX this weekend ask where I got my wheels done so he can get his the centers on his 3 piece wheels done in orange for his 996 GT2 autoX car.

Random question. Does anyone have a set of 9inch or wider wheels I can borrow for Saturday? I'm supposed to be parking my car in the Project RIDE booth, and I want some nicer wheels. :B

17x9 Rota grids with a fair amount of curbing (lol) but almost new falken (245/40) summers.

I'm not sure they are "nicer" ha.

lol the curbing on my wheels is what I'm trying to avoid. I was going to try to talk to Zoeb, but I dunno. I'll just roll with what I've got on the car for now. My gramlights will be here eventually...

Speaking of curbing your wheels.. I just curbed my brand new wheels for the first time on my way to work. I haven't even curbed my stockers in 14k miles of driving, but of course I have my RPF1s on for like a week and I already curbed them. At least its only minor, but still. FUCK.

AND I did it while trying to go around someone to turn right while they were at a stoplight, which I never do at that particular intersection but for some dumb reason decided to do today.

What a great way to start Tuesday...

That sucks! What tires do you have on? May just be me, but looking around I've noticed that most performance tires don't have the wheel protection "lip".
