difference between Ark exhausts - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Can anyone tell me the difference between the ark dt-s and ark grip exhaust sytems for the brz? looking at purchasing one but cant tell the difference other than 4 more horsepower in the dt-s. they also both cost the same.

The design of the resonators is different between the two. The Grip is supposed to be generally a bit quieter than the Dt-S

Yes the GRiP is quieter than the DT-S.

I like the tone of my Grip system much more with the test pipe; I certainly agree with the above.

heres a video of my friends FRS with the ARK DT-S exhaust with the ARK test pipe as well.

a little comparison for you guys

Kevin at ARK was also good at explaining this when my friend purchased his exhaust. Tell him Brian sent you!

Just to let you guys know, I messaged Ark on facebook about 2 weeks ago asking if they were developing a header and they said they were, but no ETA as of yet.
