Beautiful combo! Wanted to go this route but the wife vetoed the gold rims. Gonna show her these pics to prove, once again, just how useless her opinion is.

Great wheels! Curious what your thoughts are on a 255 tire on that 9" wheel vs a 245 .... Did you choose the 245 because of issues with the Tarmac Zero's and clearance or that you just wanted a slightly rolled/stretched look?

wife was extremely skeptical when I told her about gold wheels. She approved once she saw them installed. Quote:
The 245 looks very slightly stretched, doesn't bother me much. I did think about how the 255 would look when I saw the 245s there but as it is, the tire is very close to the fender. Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2

King Tut is too, but there is some rubbing with the 265's, so that's why I wouldn't say 1000% no rub.

It will be fine. I have 18x9+42 with 245, and there will be lots of room with the coils on. You will only be an extra 3mm in from me - no problem. We also know that with KW V3 (essentially the same profile as the tarmacs) paired with 18x9.5+40 265/35/18 fit (GramLight 57Xtremes) there are only minimal issues (all of which are at the fender). Here's your setup in comparison to that: Shouldn't have any issues at all. |

More than 3 mm when you count tires (255 over 245). I think it will be close as to wether there's rub or not, but if there is, its going to be very minimum.

I'm trying to get a photo shoot done soon ![]() Quote:
Thanks for the compliments!! It came out nicer than I thought. I originally was looking for bronze wheels, but after plasti dipping mine, it is too dull. I wanted something that stood out, but really not looking for extremes like blue, green, etc. so gold was a good compromise. I had no idea how low I wanted it. I was looking for 1" low all around. I got a little bit lower than an inch. Its two fingers really tight. Lower than I initially wanted, but man o man.... It looks so great!! Yes, my car is done. I MAY explore in the future another radiator/oil cooler, but I'm don for now doing trial and error on it. Aside, from that, I'm done done. The ONLY other thing I might do, is paying @raul to put some black details in the taillights.
