THAT HEADER IS SO DAMNED SEXY…!!!

Okay, I was on the forums ALL night last night (till the sun came up), so when I hit this thread I was too wiped out to read thru all this goodness…

Now I have read some of it, and I realize that a lot of the questions I have are already answered…

Looking forward to a complete end-to-end Nameless exhaust solution that is designed to work with the Innovate twin-screw supercharger kit (bonus if it can work as a straight bolt-in solution with the Stage 2 intercooled kit, the Robispec Big Radiator/Oil Cooler kit AND a set of the APC brake ducts/hoses/rotor backing plates kit…!!!); hi-flow cat(s) & resonator(s) in the down/over-pipe or mid-pipe (wherever works best overall, just include an extension harness for the O2 sensor) and dual mufflers & a pair of those sweet 3.5" tips…!!! Oh, and don't forget the ceramic coating…!

Now, can you make it out of titanium…!?! ;^p

went to my first autoX and it's pretty sweet....so, for staying in STX class i will be getting a catted downpipe.

looks like any header is fine though so a torque biased one will be essential as i was lugging second or losing time shifting into first a lot.

I think that's one of the three versions they are making purely for STX.

You're right. As long as a cat is within 6” of one of the original cats, it's STX legal.

Maybe spal fans or coolant reservoir relocation bumps you into sp/sm class...

I believe the rule is within 6" of the farthest cat from the engine.

I don't believe it specifies which cat, just that it has to be within 6" of one of the original cats. I think most people just go with the one furthest away.

E. Catalytic converters: Any catalytic converters are allowed, but must
attach within 6” of the original unit. Multiple catalytic converters may
be replaced by a single unit. The inlet of the single replacement converter may be located no further downstream than 6” (152.4mm)
along the piping flow path from the original exit of the final OE converter. The extents of an OE converter are defined by the expansion
chamber in which the catalyst is contained, regardless of placement
within larger exhaust sections. Replacement converters must have
a minimum catalyst density of 100 cells per inch and minimum substrate length of 3” (76.2mm).

Street Prepared:

M. The engine fan and fan shroud (unless it serves another purpose,
e.g., as an alternator/generator mount) may be removed, modified
or replaced. Electrically driven fans are allowed. Flex fans are not
allowed

Looks like this is in a bad need of updating for cars newer than 1975 or otherwise not american and come with electric fans. I don't see how changing the fan from one electric to another electric could be a performance mod.

Why am i whining? I don't need or want a cat in my header to stay STX legal but fan changes would put me into SP. So now I can't get the header i want and stay STX.

Does anyone know if Nameless will be offering a complete head-back exhaust? Because right now, their complete exhaust solution is all over the map. 3" header (proposed), into a 2.5" over/front pipe, into the 2.25" stock mid pipe, into a 3" axleback collector. My current catback was damaged badly by a bridge expansion joint this week and I'm trying to piece together a full system. I figured, since I'm still in the process of waiting for the Nameless header I'd go full Nameless. But that doesn't seem possible currently. If I'm going to end up with a franken-zaust, I might as well piece one together...

That is why Nameless was making an STX legal version. Write a letter if you want to propose a change, I think radiators and oil coolers should be legal in STX.

Personally I don't think a high flow cat in the header is going o drop a lot of power, I ended up getting a P&L one. The catless headers have necessitated guys keeping the stock front pipe/catback or adding almost custom catbacks because they are too loud to pass some sound restricted sites.
