Huh, never thought of that... I always used parking lights when in a parking lot, as it's usually darker than full daylight but you usually don't need headlights; that's what I assumed "park lights" meant

The BRZ's parking lights are less noticeable though than other vehicles since it is the LED strip in the headlamps. Sometimes people like to look like a BMW/Audi in their BRZ. IMO, I have no problem and a cop will most likely not pull you over.

Didn't realize these lights even existed as I usually keep mine on auto.

BRB looking cool and turning on the Boomerang strip now.

I know on BMWs with the older, more yellow halo lights there were easy mods to get them updated to bright white. I just want to know if this can be done with the boomerang. And Australia wants to know.

Do you mean both the DRL and the Boomerang on at the same time, Or only the Boomerang? Because if you start the car up, put the parking lights on, and release the handbrake, your DRL and Boomerang will be on, making other drivers envious of your sexy BRZ.

Yeah... it's called switching the bulb to an LED... lol

I want both on (boomerang and drl) but no tails or side markers. I essentially just want to run the boomerangs as the drl w the led bar.

Have you tried changing the setting where you determine when the day/night changeover occurs for the nav system? Options are when headlights are on; at specific times (sunset/sunrise); or never. Doesn't solve the instrument panel dimming when headlights are on, but takes care of the nav system dimming - at least it works for me.

I was thinking of the more recent E90s and X3/X5. I thought they already came with LEDs, I could be mistaken. I know there are a ton of mods for their stock halos.

LCI models did come with upgraded LED Angel Eyes, M3's never had LED's

but it's easy to replace the bulb with an LED upgrade

With GPS, it should be able to determine sunrise/sunset on it's own, which would be cool, instead of having to adjust the sunrise/sunset time as it changes thru the year.

But how about when it's dark HOURS before sunset because of a big storm, should it still be in 'day' mode?

Kinda like those foggy rainy days, when I want tail lights on for visibility, but don't need the navi in night mode.

GPS based sunset/sunrise with darkness over ride?
