hand grab serious issue

In a terrific article in Motor magazine (Australian), August 2012, page 52 it says we have an "hand grab in the door sill" to assist getting in and out.

Can anyone tell me where it is? At present my back has jinked on me and I can't get out.

Well, since you are in Australia, you will have to turn your car over to find it....

It's the small portion of the door sill that is soft rubber, instead of the hard plastic of all the rest sill.

I know this seems like an obvious solution but have you tried throwin' another shrimp on the barbie?

I dont know about you guys, but every time I touch that thing it electrocutes me. I dont mean static shock, i mean continuous electrical discharge into my arm. you can hear it going "crack crack crack crack" like a tiny little tazer pumping volts into my hand.

No it is normal. I don't know about the continuous shock, but I have actually seen the ark from my finger tip to the car. That one hurt a lot.

GULP and GASP. At the very least, please get this seen to before you refuel.
