It may be used quite a bit as a shared site for several local clubs if we don't screw up the opportunity.

I'm a big ZII fan, but if the site pans out I'll buy another set of wheels and tires for use there. I haven't really loved the Rivals I've tried and wonder if RS3s would be the wiser choice.

Happy to hear suggestions from the hot-weather folks. Anybody successfully keeping ZIIs cool in this kind of heat?

Thanks/Des
If yoiu keep the ZIIs you could always have ice cold water around to spray the tires if they ever get too hot, too.

@des, I was surprised how well the ZII's handle heat. I think you would be OK spraying them and may not even need to spray them until the third run. Would love to see a showdown between the three of them in those types of conditions.

No doubt the Rival would love that type of heat IMO. Hot lapping them for 20+ runs on concrete (mid 30 second course with around 80 degree temps) and they never felt greasy or fell off.

Two weekends ago were the first events in our area with real heat this year. The ZIIs actually impressed me more than I expected, though I'm only on 215s. After four runs in 92-95 degree weather in morning and four more at 94-97 in the afternoon, they did not need sprayed and honestly felt better on their 3rd-4th runs. I do run lower pressures (34f,31r) and they barely changed so I'm not sure if that matters. I think the Hankooks are still slightly quicker in high-heat, but I have much more confidence in the ZIIs after that weekend.

How much clearance is there with the 50mm offset wheel and the 225 Rival with the OEM camber bolt maxed out? I'm trying to decide between the Kosei K4R and the RPF1 - just wondering if you've noticed any rubbing with the 50mm offset combo.

I have 225 Rivals mounted on 50mm offset Koseis (K1-TS) with the OEM crash bolts. I run 4mm spacers to widen the track a little, but I don't need them for clearance. There's plenty of inbound room without the spacers.

I have not had any rubbing issues with the 225's and a 50mm offset. I would guesstimate there is about 15mm clearance on my car.

From what I hear the 50mm fits without an issue. I have a set of Subaru WRX wheels 17x7 +55 with 225's Z2's, and they rub. So I use a 3mm spacer. That kinda gives an idea on how close it is.
