Am I the only one who thinks "Who is your daddy and what does he do?" every time I read the title on this one?

once you get out of uni you'll be able to get a cool job..

one word of advice tho, don't get an undergraduate business degree. business experience in the real world always counts for more than a business degree, so there's kinda no point. focus on education now and if you can afford it get a graduate degree in business like an mba.

Will be 29 a few weeks from now... I do stuff with computers. Just recently changed jobs from fixing computers (was doing that WAY too long) to now analyzing stuff in another part of IT. Security/antivirus, system tools, that sort of thing.

I've always been really good with computers and fixing them and building, setting up HW/SW and stuff.. how's the pay with that kind of thing?
I'm looking for a less lame way to put myself through college.

It varies... a lot. For where I am and what I've been doing it's not too bad. Most places will base your pay a lot on experience too. I had a couple years worth working at college before I started - so that helped a bit.

I started out on the help desk answering the phones though and worked my way through regular desktop support. Had to suck up the phone support for a while to get anywhere (it was total cake though - just stupid).

Meh. I guess I could just make do without a job.. I've got free room and board and scholarships up the ying-yang.. (don't ask how they got up there)
