So again... it's a hybrid - not a rebadged Subaru.
lol, my point is that people are getting flustered over nothing. Nothing more. It's a bunch of bickering and fighting over nothing.

Well the only thing that irks me a bit is when people claim it's all Subaru parts. I like Subaru and wouldn't have a problem with it if it were but it's simply not true.

What irks me is people fighting over what car is better. Or crying when people call it a Subaru. Or having an elitist attitude because they would "never buy a scion". Lol. Stupid and pointless

Yeah, I mean, I love design and brands but even I don't care enough to not buy it simply because it's a Scion. But I think both companies really should take credit for this car in every way. It's ignorant and silly to say it's just one or the other.

But sometimes there really is no point in arguing with people. It's like this guy who was trying to claim that Mitsubishi made RWD Eclipses the other day. I was trying to correct his confusion by asking if it was modified or actually an older Starion or something but he was rather insistent that he had a RWD Eclipse that came from the factory and not AWD or FWD. So whatever... LOL

I will give you the three years they won the World Rally Championships before being banned for a year for cheating. I will also give you the championship in the circus they called Mickey Thompson Off-Road Stadium Championship. As far as JTCC and Super GT go,those are not really world wide series. With the two exceptions above, anytime Toyota has stepped onto the world motorsports stage they have failed to achieve their goals.

I am not a Toyota hater. I love some of their cars. But I also do not blindly extol a company's virtues simply because of brand loyalty.

I am not here to get into an internet pissing contest with anyone. However, you should re-read your post. I could have added many more manufacturers to that list especially if you want to concentrate on rally accomplishments. For example, Lancia and Peugeot.

I am very hopeful that the FR-S/GT86/BRZ may bring Toyota some wins. They have done well in some 24 hour races but failed in the Pirelli World Challenge series. I guess time will tell.

Thanks for trying to educate me. I am done here. We now return you to your regularly scheduled disagreement.
Fair enough, you don't want to consider the breadth of their motorsport involvement and only want to to scrutinize each of those manufacturers in whatever single class they did well in. I wasn't aware that each of those companies you listed had such extensive and comprehensive experience in endurance racing, WRC, F1, JGTC, NASCAR (car and truck), Baja, Indy, and Formula Atlantic to overshadow Toyota.

Thank you for clarifying. I guess Mazda cheated too which is why they were banned? Not like the 787 was fast anyway, it had the fortune of not breaking at Le Mans. Tortoise beats hare? Don't get me wrong, I like Mazda as well. I just think people dump all over Toyota for not knowing how to make a fast car based on ignorance. That was my point. You see that attitude all over the GT86 threads and elsewhere. Like biased Detroit redneck union trolls.
