So all in all... the VIP program would be a better deal than the group buy? With well... even less haggling? @_@

Ah gotcha lol. Well I signed up during September, so I can hopefully use the VIP program. Just gotta figure out from where now. Still hoping group buy can nudge price lower lol.

You can.

But dunno if the price will be substantially lower than Nor Cal though.

Very true. At this moment, its more of an impatient tap and wondering if any pricing information is released.

- Do you take/uphold the Subaru VIP program for the BRZ specifically?
: Yes, but ONLY on orders. (Meaning you call in and tell her what you want for your BRZ Limted or Premium.)
- Do you take Trade-ins?
: Yes.
- Do you take Deposits?
: Unfortunately, not until Subaru corporate actually puts it in the system so you can order it. (I went and took a look at her screen. The BRZ wasn't on as a pre-order yet. When the BRZ does come out you can call and place your order over the phone. Without a deposit(?) I need to call her again for a couple more questions tomorrow or so... Or later today)
- What can you do for our group buy?
: Basically what R4m3n said. Match Puente Hills deal. $300 above Invoice. (I need to call and confirm it. It slipped my mind whether I heard MSRP or Invoice.)
- Will Subaru Pay off my 6mo Lease?*
: No dealer will pay off the lease. But will take it as a trade-in depending on value of the car at the time. (You'll have to give her a call to ask for more info or a much more in depth info.)
Thanks Detective Momo! :happy0180: If 300 above invoice is indeed true, that is a good deal. Keep in mind that there are invoice prices for both the car and the options! Hopefully they won't have a dealer mark up on this thing.

No, just be part of the group buy effort.

I wonder if this is decision made at the local dealer level, or if one dealership honors it, then others must do the same.

I will be eligible when the car is released, but my local dealer in FL thought that the decision on the VIP program was made at a corporate level.

Interesting.....

So 300 over invoice is the deal they offered so far, but with the VIP shouldn't we get 2% under invoice plus any possible throw ins after that?

Honoring the Subaru VIP program? It's up to the dealer to honor that program. If the dealer says otherwise.... Then it just seems like they don't want to honor the VIP program.

Nope! Like buggy said you can be part of the group buy for the $300 above invoice. From the way I see it--it seems like it works best for those who are going to buy it right away or are unsure if they want to buy the BRZ yet until the month before.

1. Donate $20 and wait 6 months to get 2% under what dealer gets the car for.
2. Don't donate $20 and buy within the month of the group buy or 2nd month of the group buy (meaning all finances are set) to get $300 above invoice with whatever you want.

I hope that cleared it up your question.

Doin' my best to help the interests of those who will be reviving the slowly diminishing car culture. (Really not interested in this.. HELLAFLUSH stuff. I admire those who are really enthusiastic about it but I'm just not a fan.)

Lets say you get the BRZ with the options you want. You'll pay 2% under dealer invoice for your vehicle. That is... what I believe is correct. I can go clarify it for you if you like.

I go to Puente Hills Subaru all the time. I don't know what it means to be an outlet. They look like any other Subaru dealership to me. They are extremely convenient though as they are right off the 60fwy. Alot of WRX and STis in the area have maintenance work done by them. Do they really benefit that much from a group buy? Shouldn't anyone be able to haggle it to $300 above invoice?
