I got there late but, soon enough to take some shots of a few runs! Earlier in the season SASCA had some novice classes.

Unfortunately my car wasn't in shape to go - I got 9" wide wheels and tires installed fri for the occasion but alignment was off & I couldn't get straightened out in time. I'll have to do it next week and wait to hit the next Autocross at Retama... did anyone AutoX this morning? |

^^ If you follow a couple of the facebook sites often there are some smaller weekly gatherings - occasionally at The Forum, Biff Busby's on Fridays (I've never gone to this one), Best Buy @ SanPedro & 410. Some 86 owners meet with the TXIC Subaru folks on Thursdays. (see links below) Also, monitor this meetup thread on ft86club.com.
At Coffee and Rides last Sat. of each month (no longer happening) we had 15 86 cars one time! Cars & Coffee (hosted by the San Antonio Mustang Club) is currently getting started up on the 2nd Sat. of each month. I know several of us will be going to the next one. These Sat. monthly meets are fun because not only to we get to visit with each other...there are a lot of other cars to check out! Cars and Coffee San Antonio: Saturday, July 13, 2013 Lowes at I-10 at the Rim 18303 Rim Dr, Exit 554 8:00am - 10:30am Mark your calendar! Let's meet-up and roll in together!?!? In Austin area on August 3rd - Texas 86 Day Meet / Cruise http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39300 Breakfast in Roundrock / drive on Lime Creek Road ending with lunch at the Salt Lick in Driftwood. Over a dozen cars signed up already. There is going to be another big San Antonio area photo shoot soon; probably on a Saturday morning between now and end of August. At present, this is in the early planning stages. Stay tuned. (19 cars showed up at the last night time photo shoot.) When are you getting an FR-S? Pretty sure we'll have a another huge Twisted Sisters meet/cruise by September! We were just talking about this car yesterday at work and my coworker has a passion for the GT. Apparently the 2ZZ-GE motor is 180hp of 4 cylinder fury mated to a 6spd tranny in those things. I think 06 was the last year it was made.

Haha. Nah, it's cool, I was on here 8 months without a BRZ! Ended up going to South Carolina to get one last August. The one I ordered locally in Mar 2012 finally arrived in December and I hooked up a friend of my son with it. Heck, I was buying mods before I even had the car. Frustrating having to wait but, very rewarding when you finally get an 86 of your very own. 12,000 miles later, I still look for reasons to drive somewhere. Hopefully, when you are ready to buy, there will be an FR-S just like you want waiting for you at one of the dealers!!!

So for some random reason or another here and there I have happened upon North Park, Cavender, Boerne and Red McCombs dealerships this month and each time I noted a handful of available FRS models at each.
Also, I was in DC two weeks ago and the Toyota and Subaru dealers nearest my parent's house had quite a few on the lot. As a matter of fact, the Subaru dealer had five of them parked in a fanned out display on their front lawn. Is it safe to say that inventory levels are starting to catch up with demand? |
