When people "ghetto" mod our cars, it puts a bad name on all of us. We all share a name here.

It seems to me the most insecure owners are the BRZ owners. They are very defensive about the dubious distinction of a "Subaru" badge. Not that Subaru's are bad cars - quite the opposite. It's just that the badge, like Scion, has no actual market cache'. Subaru is an unpretentious workaday brand for people that value engineering. Scion stands for nothing except that it's Toyota's foster child. We have great cars, no doubt, but they look best when the modifications are very subtle, such as slightly bigger wheels that echo the OEM ones, and minimal lowering.
You need to get over the whole Subaru vs Scion thing. It is tired. You do realize most of the people complaining about the car and Scion in the OP are FR-S owners, right?

The FRS is the new cool car to RICE OUT.. I never mentioned anything about driving dynamics, engine, transmission....etc etc etc...

I've come across a few posts that seem at the surface to criticize the driver's choice of mods. After reading them, laughing, smiling, sometimes sad. I feel the common thread here in these type of posts, is that the FR-S or BRZ owner is very emotionally attached to his ride and takes close scrutiny on other family members choices. This young Toyobaru family will have it's growing pains. In short Toyota/Subaru has manufactured something very special to have it's owners/drivers so careful of the brand/vehicles image. It's a Drivers Car and no matter what the exterior looks like, I sure their owners love them like I love my pet Rottweiler mix.

I think you missed his point, and he's correct. The real problem with "ricers" is not how shitty their cars look (why are they always dirty?) despite the money thrown at them, it's that "ricers" themselves are f-ing retarded.

He is certainly free to do whatever he wants to his car. We are also free to laugh at his ass. ETA: Deleted "He's".

Best post, quote of the day. It will be my signature.

I also would like to add that some people just have stickers all over their car. When I see stickers, I think of

1/ Sponsored ads
2/ Rice
3/ Clueless about sport car taste

How many new Porsches or more expensive sports cars do you see being

I'm pretty sure Toyota did it to revive a stale brand. I don't know of many "first time buyers" that could afford an almost $28k car.

I think it's funny how one of the major issues us FRS owners face is having to deal with Scion's brand image, and proving that "we aren't like that, I swear!"
