Lets say if you turn off the lights in the day time is it completely blacked out? Like you see no red at all? Or do you have to have Daytime running lights in order for people to see your red taillights? For example the sig in post #3, their taillights are completely blacked out, that's not what I want to see in the daytime at all.

I posted what they look like during the day, with the turn signals and brake lights on. You can take a look on page 1.

Just to be clear, we are talking specifically about the Valentis now...

There's a red strip, but its not really visible. The lense is dark enough that you don't see it unless you are up close. Pics can be deceiving too, flash or sunlight can make the red strip more visible.

Hmm maybe a little too dark

Do you guys have laws or get pulled over for dark taillights like that in your state? I heard a lot of people around here gets pulled over by CHP for a fix it ticket and I even heard people lose insurance claims because of the tint. These look beautiful though!

I've been pulled over and they never said anything about the lights. Been given shit for no front license plate, smoked plate covers, and the temporary PA tag on my window, but the cops never said anything about the tails. IDK about CA though.

Apparently it's illegal in CA and New York also but it's not something that is strictly enforced so it's all within your luck also. Sorta like tinted front windows pass the legal tint. Sometimes you're lucky and sometimes you're not.. I'll wait for a black painted taillights inside. I really like the design of these Valenti lights and hope they will release one like that.

I've had philly cops directly tell me to get license plate covers because registration sticker theft sucks there. They also told me to get a tint job after my car was broken into because it hides your stuff.

Also, did you wire the flashing light in the bar? Can't find instructions.
