Computer Head Unit

I would like to add gauges for when I add a supercharger (oil temp, oil press, boost, air fuel). However I do not want to touch the dash, pillers, anything that is not pre-existing. So I was thinking but don't know how to do it and looking for help/direction.

I was thinking of using a Raspberry Pi (mini computer) connected to a touchscreen that will use stock radio/speakers, stock Bluetooth, and let me display and change the car gauges. Then build it into a box that will replace the existing head unit.

Is that possible or should I wake-up from this dream.

easiest solution is to get an OBD2 - Wifi converter and run software on an iphone or andoid.

Im running 'dash command' via Kiwi PLX adapter, and my head unit displays gauges, info etc..

Much less hassle than a car pc, been down that road ;p

Do you have problems keeping the phone in place. Not flying in your face while turning/braking ect. How did you mount your phone.

Hey, buddy, I think the numbers and words on your head unit look funny. I didn't realize that you guys have a completely different written language in Australia. I wonder if there's anything good on MA radio, we don't have that in the states. I do have to compliment you on your excellent English, you write like a native speaker.

It looks like you can only one gauge on at a time. So I would at lest need two (air/fuel and oil pressure) to keep my car from blowing up.

Is it possible to change the analog speedo to read differently then the digital speedo. That way you could use the analog as a air/fuel gauge?

As I mentioned in the beginning I dont want to touch the dash or pillars.

I made my own complete dash on a previous car and I swore I would not do that again.
