Last I read is that the govt shot down automakers request to challenge e15. I believe Iowa is already selling it or in the process

We don't need more corn based ethanol in our fuels. It would be different it it actually improved fuel economy. Total waste.

The use of ethanol also increased the price of food...

Just got mines replaced this past Monday.. 120 miles + no crickets just motor noise like when I pulled out of the dealer first day.. Crazy how some dealers are give u guys a hard time about the TSB.. Took mines in for my first service and vaguely told them about the morse code sound coming out the engine bay.. Service dude called 2 hrs later while I was at work and said the fuel pump is on order.. I was like.. Wow.. Thanks!! .. So far so good.. Hopefully it stays this way..

Got my car back today with no crickets. I'll post here after 300 miles or if they return before that.

Interesting note; just got the new issue of Motor Trend. Their long-term BR-Z came down with a case of the chirps. They got it diagnosed and had the pump replaced. Then, like so many of us here, the chirps returned within a few hundred miles. It's nice to see this issue brought to light in a popular, off the shelf car magazine.

Sad to say crickets are back. So annoying. I've read so many things on this new fuel pump. Cricketz eventually come back. Brand new car and it sounds like its 5 years old. This is not the quality I'd expect from toyota.

I didn't want to believe some of the posters. I just had to see for myself.

I can honestly say going back in is NOT worth anyones time right now. They come back. I wasted two days on getting mine "fixed". I plan on calling them and just letting them know the noise is back and see if they will call me when they encounter a permanent fix.

I have about 1000 miles on my new pump, the crickets are back as I said earlier but they are much more quiet than they were on the first pump. If it stays at the current volume I'll be totally fine with it.

I took mine in today for this very thing, the parts are apparently back ordered

I figure if they come back after I get it replaced I am seriously going to look at filing for a lemon law if it has to be done 4 times and still not fixing the issue.

This would hurt the value of the car IMO, guess I will go back to driving STI's if it comes to this.

Im starting to feel that its back but its very subtle. Or i might be paranoid. But its 80% quieter than the last. For me, thats better than hearing it over 25 Volume on the Pioneer system. Exhaust should do the trick right? haha

I called the dealership today and told them the noise is back. I gave them my number to call me when a real fix is available. I'm not wasting my time going back in there again.

This is the story I've been seeing too often.
