How's yours coming along?
SLOW. it's coming really slow. i'm talking with Austin and Greg about an Ohlin's suspension. Then wheels. and so on. it's going to take some time. What was your DD?

Taking your time with a project is good! Beats getting bored haha. Back when we met I was DD-ing a modded E90 335i, but I figured it was financially ridiculous to own that AND an E90 M3, so I dumped it and got into a Land Rover Disco II for the winter, sold that and bought an E36 M3, then sold it for an E46 330i ZHP and then sold that for the BRZ. It's been a journey...all the while the M3 was getting modded to where it is now haha.

Austin really knows his stuff when it comes to suspension given all the seat time he's accumulating! Definitely recommended

I made by way back to TF to get my hands on their newest product offering for the twins - the ISM Air Cup System.

I wanted to go a little bit lower (thanks to some shorter Swift springs), but between this and my incoming aero, I also wanted to retain some functionality considering this is my 100mi-a-day commuter car.

The system has been fantastic so far - an OEM-like switch operation and a perfect compromise between static/bagged drivers. It takes up about 1/3 of the trunk space, but as someone who religiously PACKS the cargo area full on a weekly basis, I was surprised that I was still able to fit everything I needed to despite the tank.

Here are a couple pics during install as well as a snap from Slammed Society Chicago last week after the cup system was in for about a week.

Oh you know my friend Ilia! Ilia is the best. I love your car. What are going to do with your stance suspension?

I do! Thanks man - I appreciate it! The cup system actually just sits on top of the Stance coilovers, so they're still on the car. Here's a little video of the install at TF:

NICE!!! I almost went with air cups prior to going with air. I decided against it because the price just wasn't worth it to me compared to a full air system. Still a really nice system though.

Did you go just with the front cups? When I spoke to a rep from exotic air he told me how you only really need the fronts.

EDIT: Just watched the video, looks to only be the front. Whats the height range on those? The fittings on the air tank are interesting. I'm guessing you opted to have the tank built up top to keep your spare, but I opted to put my system underneath so I could still use the whole entire trunk.

Thanks man! Having this air cup system has definitely gotten me curious about a full air suspension, but I think I'll save that for my next build.

Yeah it's just the fronts - heard the same thing and after having the system in briefly, I don't think I would install a rear system either. For the FRS/BRZ I get an additional 1.8-2 inch lift, which is fantastic.

Initially, we were aiming to install the tank/accessories in the spare tire well, but it wouldn't fit. Having the system be completely hidden would be fantastic, but at the time, it didn't seem in the cards. Is there a different kind of tank I could explore to make that work?

Car looks great!! Just curious, did you feel any noticable difference in acceleration once you installed the pulleys?

Out of all the mods so far, the pulleys were easily the most noticeable improvement! HIGHLY recommend them. They seem to help null out the terrible void we've got in the rev range as well, though from the cars I've driven or ridden in, it won't go away entirely until you hit the entire gamut of mod possibilities (software, headers, etc.)

Ok awesome. Im curious about the reliability as well. Ive been looking around and i keep seeing mentions of CELs and other mechanical problems. Have you encountered anything with the pulleys? How long have you had them on for?
