Did my FRS just get me out of a ticket?

I was driving home from work when I go pulled over by a state trooper. I followed my basic "be a good citizen" rules, roll down all the windows, turn off car, and put 2 hands on the steering wheel. He told me I was doing 90 in a 65 and asked for my paper work. I gave him everything and was pretty sure I was screwed. After about 15 minutes he comes back and tells me that he is only citing me for disobeying a traffic sign (0 points) and that I have a very sharp looking car. He asked me a bit about the car then let me on my way.

Just wanted to share this story because I have never been to happy to get a ticket.

Thanks FR-S!

I have a pretty heavy foot. No mater how many times i tell me coworkers the car is slow they just give me a look like I am some modest asshole. I tend to beat them to meetings by quite a lot

dont let my username fool you, I'm an ugly bearded man. Plus it was a PA State Trooper and from what I hear they don't let ANYONE off. I felt pretty cool in my sharp car.

I've found in my 33 years on this Earth it's always better to just be civil when dealing with something like this. Just be polite. It's really that easy "most" of the time. Same goes if you have a complaint. Just be cool explain your situation and they will likely accomodate you.

It's the people that feel the need to immediately get defensive and yell and scream that dig themselves the larger holes. That's been my experience at least.

I agree, this tends works 90% of the time. In the other 10%, the officer has an agenda or is the incarnation of Captain Ahab. Trouble is you never know which one you'll get.

I agree with that as well. Even so, just smile take your ticket and move on. It will likely piss them off to NOT get a reaction that they are "looking" for.
