I'd have to agree with how he loses focus and such during games. That's the "kid" in him still. As years go by, as you've mentioned, he gets more mature and develops his game a bit further. I'm not making an excuse for him. I just think he hasn't fully reached that level of maturity just yet. That's what caused him a win or two in the 2007 Finals.

Btw, I really do enjoy discussions/debate like these. Not those homophobic images that people reply with.

Congrats Miami.

You just better look out next year. The Sixers are coming after that trophy!

Lebron's game has grown every year and that's good. He doesn't choke as much, his 3 point shot has improved, free throw accuracy has improved a bit, and his desire to take it upon himself to try to win games by putting the team on his back at crucial gut checking times now is also worth noting (yeah yeah I know Ray, Wade, or company helps out too). We never saw that from him that much before until he landed in MIA. I can applaud him for that, but what's amazing is he can still improve which is scary.

I'm telling you right now, if he ever masters his focus on the game, he'll surpass every team's scouting report. He won't be stamped as a triple threat, he could go further, imo. That's why I get annoyed as fcuk over when he lets little things bother him during a game, but we did see little glimpses of how much more of a complete player he could be in game 6 at the end.
I applaud and respect you. I know you are not even close to a MIA fan, but you can appreciate the game of basketball for it. Thanks a lot! Oh, and I don't say it because you are writing about Lebron, but I have seen your posts about the league in general and you are able to see the game of basketball behind all the shinny bright lights.

i think dennis rodman said it best when he was talking about how he is missing that thing that made players great in earlier eras. the guy is just built to be the best player of all time and you can totally see him grow. his intelligence and skillset have improved every year and that is scary. what i dont see is that intensity that you can see watching certain players in the "greats" conversation.

Yeah, I absolutely agree. That's why I can't fully acknowledge Lebron's accomplishments cause he's not like Jordan or Kobe in the aspect of working harder than the next guy to get where they are. So in my point of view Lebron practically has been given talent with his stature, so he doesn't have to work as hard as the next guy, he could coast on his game practically. He doesn't have that killer instinct like MJ or Kobe. Although, as I mentioned before you could see glimpses of it finally peaking from Game 6.

I'm not a LBJ hater, but what's up with the speech when the Finals MVP was handed over. Can't he be just happy and proud like everyone else who won that award before. As good as he is playing basketball, I'm really finding it difficult to like the dude.

I would have probably assaulted the guy using a newspaper if I was close enough during that time.

There's no denying his greatness. He is the most physically imposing player the NBA has ever seen. His athleticism would have dominated in any era of basketball. Nobody can argue that.

However, his attitude is a problem. From the pre-game spectacles with the Cavs to the blatant flopping (and denial of such actions) to the constant complaining and whining to "The Decision" to the guarantee of multiple championships in the WWE-life event the Heat put on, he does make it VERY EASY to hate him. Maybe it's the era we live in now where everyone feels overly entitled, idk. And I understand the pressure on him has been unreasonable from the very beginning, but he needs to wise up and grow up. He isn't a kid anymore.

What was the problem with his acceptance speech? So we want athletes to be honest and truthful but we kill them when they do? What did you not like? He said the truth. He grew up on poverty, so in his mind, he "shouldn't even be there getting such award".

Then about the phrase "ain't got nothing to worry about" it's an internal joke with the team about a song they have been listening to. Cmon man, let the guy enjoy his moment whatever way he wants to enjoy it. It doesn't have to be the way YOU expect him to enjoy it.....

I sure hope those who don't like LBJ for his attitude aren't big MJ fans. He is the biggest douche of all IMO. The guy won't even grant SI an interview for his 50th birthday due to some grudge he has with them dating years ago.

I think Lebron is currently the best player in the World right now and the Heat deserved the championship since the Spurs sucked big time in game 6 and 7. Now that's out of the way, I did expect more class and humility. I think that's why people are so conflicted about the guy.

Anyway, I'm not a hater in any way, I appreciate a great player when I see one, but I just could bring myself to root for the guy.

GO Warriors!

I think it's a long overdue rant that he needed to get out of his chest for quite some time now from all the criticism and noise he's been receiving since he joined the league.
