Wait I thought you didn't need a front plate in NY? I $210 is way to much, iv been running no plate for 3 months and only got a ticket for it when I rolled a stop sign at 3am, ticket was only 50 bucks. Maybe it's cops in my town but they don't even look at my car anymore.

Nah its very much required in NY. I don't think PA needs em. And $210 is probably Nassau County only.

I was driving my EK around for 2 years with no plate and no problems

on the BRZ, the dealer drilled the bumper so it's not like I have a choice

I think most dealers in the state do this... I bought mine in PA, where they dont require it, that's why my bracket wasnt drilled on.
