People should ask the dealer before they drive off w/ the car, they might be able to customize the DRLs. At Lexus they can do all sorts of things people don't even know they can have their car tailored to.

Ya I know, that is what I am hoping they'll do. On my Lexus vehicle they gave a whole print out of electrical options that could be modified for me to check and hand in for them to do such as exterior lighting, back up sensor beeps, windows down with key fob, and seatbelt reminders can be turned off. Here is what it looked like. Does anyone know if Scion has something similar I can do?

^^^ First pics I've seen where I can honestly say I like the color. Still wish they offered more/other color options though, I'll stick to my whiteout. Those glowing Badges G2G though, hope they can be switched off

Look what finally showed up at Cabe Toyota tonight, after closing time:

Did not see the other 10 Series FR-S they have been expecting, but checked the VIN and confirmed that this one is mine.

Unfortunately, the service department is closed tomorrow, so nobody to do PDI or install my TRD parts. I'm not sure when I will be able to actually take the car, but at least I should be able to go finish off the paperwork tomorrow.

Found something interesting, looking at the stickers:

Unlike every other FR-S (confirmed on multiple standard model FR-S also at the dealer), this one does not have the FHI Gunma plant listed, but instead lists a Toyota plant as the final assembly point.

Very very interesting about the final plant assembly. Makes you wonder if it's just for this edition or if they will be splitting off Subaru and Toyota duties in future. Kind of makes sense since they are selling/making somewhere between 4-5:1 depending on who you ask and demand likely is increasing. Might explain the delay on the Japan side too.
__________

The badges are only proximity lights to find you car in the parking lot, they aren't really ricer badges. Think people got the wrong idea about the badges from the get go.

I will certainly go to the dealer tomorrow morning. When I actually leave with the car is up in the air. My US TRD parts won't get installed tomorrow, and PDI could be an issue. The BeSpoke/nav module won't be in until later in the week as well. If possible, I might just take the car tomorrow and drop it off at a later date and do all the installations in one shot.

As far as the Toyota plant question, I have to wonder if they just didn't screw up this sticker in addition to the Monroney stickers. If not, my guess is that only some final assembly having to do with the 10 Series might be done at this Toyota plant. Maybe the glowy badges, light-up dash, # plates, shift knobs, and seat belts?

i'm lovin the headlights, they look so nice! the paint is actually pretty impressive, it's like a sliver version of WRB Mica, i'm impressed. i'm actually surprised the DRLs don't stay on with the headlights, cause in every other photo it does.

Don't think this is an option for us Aussies; we get these lights as standard on the higher spec model.

DRLs are supposed to be for daytime only (hence the name) - they give no appreciable light output and you have the headlights for other people to see anyway at night.

Some discussion is going around about if there will be USDM part numbers for the HIDs, dual climate control, and push button start since they are in a Scion now. My theory is that they built a GT 86 and badged it as a Scion. I know I could be wrong and hope I am. Yet seems to be that current non-RS owners will still need to find a way to swap out the climate control and push button starts. The HIDs are just wired differently for some reason (no particular law requires the LEDs to not with DRLs-look at Lexus for example). Congrats to the RS owners! This is a nice color and has the options I yearn for :-).
