Hey everyone

New member here, picked up my Asphalt 6-speed M/T on 6/17 after idolizing it from afar for some time.

Still getting used to it (only 400 miles or so on it), but loving it so far. The suspension alone sets this car apart from the rest.

Looking forward to meeting people and hopefully finding or starting an FR-S / BRZ group in Tampa (USF Area).

Name's Brennon. Hailing from Florence, KY (By Cincinnati, OH). Put down $7,500 on a new 2013 Scion FR-S Hot Lava. Received a great interest rate at 1.74% for 72 months just above $300/month. Somewhat unfortunately, Scion had to locate the car and make a dealer trade because I wanted the hot lava, so the car ended up having 500 miles on it when I test drove it. I guess that's the price we pay for getting what we want.

Plan to get the windows tinted, but I'm not sure if I want the same tint on the front sides and back so it matches all around or limo tint on the back and legal on the front sides. Also thinking about getting Valugard paint, rust, undercoat and fabric protection. I welcome any advice regarding any of this.

Considering purchasing mudguards and a spoiler, but still unsure at this time.

Yes, I'm a huge Final Fantasy VII fan. My personalized plate is SHINRA.

Glad to join the community.

Just "downgraded" from the Evo X (threw thousands and thousands at it, couldn't keep AFR's in check, needed the peace of mind knowing that my car wouldn't blow up from partial throttle pulls), haven't thought twice about it!

Hola,
Live in Columbus, OH. I'm a big fan of Subarus. Picked up my FRS yesterday. Had to drive about 45 minutes to find the one I wanted. I chose an automatic with no options. This will be my DD. I traded in a 2012 Mazda3 for it.

Here she is.

Here is my other baby...

Hey guys, finally got the chance to stop by and introduce myself. My Husband and I traded in our STi for our whiteout 5 Axis edition FR-S. Name is Liz and I once had a wrx until the motor blew , I am on the prowl to buy another subaru that's practical for CO weather in the future. At the moment both my husband and I are enjoying the FR-S through the mountain canyons and just daily it.

Hey gang,
Test drove the BRZ yesterday after doing a ton of research. I'm in a position where I only drive about 4 miles to work every day now, and I'm very bored with my current daily.
Traded my supercharged B15U Sentra SE-R Spec V for a Legacy when I moved work locations about 3 years ago, and the Suby is great on everything... except fun... before the B15U I had a B13 Sentra SE-R with the SR20DET swap- and you might say the Legacy was my first "adult" car. Time for that to end.
However- I had been kind of promised the white, no spoiler BRZ Premium the dealer was due to get in. Now apparently its spoken for- and they're trying the hard sell on a silver car with some extras I have no interest in (spoiler, fog lamps).
The plans I have for the car include some light mods to performance- intake, exhaust, and mostly suspension and chassis parts. Forced induction is fun, but as this will be a daily driver in Colorado, I don't want to go too nuts.

I may not own an FR-S just yet but I will be purchasing one here shortly. With my girlfriend moving in soon, a full time job and going to school full time, I just don't have enough time to drive two older vehicles as I have done. In short, I'll be selling my 1980 Datsun 720 4x4 as soon as I complete 90k service and buying an FR-S. I decided on the FR-S over the BRZ due to the styling, easy financing for a student and the fact that I work in a Toyota/Scion service department. It will be interesting going from my 9/13mpg, 425hp '79 Jeep Cherokee Chief, to a 92hp '80 Datsun 720 after an auto accident sidelined my Jeep and totaled my '79 Ford Courier and now to a 200hp FR-S. I hope to contribute where I can.

Hi From Nashville!

Took possession of my Hot Lava FR-S Friday. Been having fun cruising and figuring things out. Hoping my back stops hurting now that I've leaned the seat back a bit like other members. In love with the car other then a few quirks but its a ton of fun.

What has everyone learned about their cars that a new guy should know?
