I had a Nexus 4, just got an HTC One.

My bluetooth sync is screwy when I get into the car now. It does show the song info now (which it didn't with the Nexus 4), but the track timer is always 0:00

This thread title made me LOL.

How about not even being able to touch a button on the screen without your finger bumping all over the damn place? I live in New England; roads suck!

This is what the BRZ needs, plain and simple:

If the Mazda6 can have it, why can't we? I had a similar interface in my Audi S4 and it was brilliant.

I agree.. Something lightweight and simple so I don't have to take my eyes off the road.

I think it's a safety hazard that this car lacks hard audio controls. While I love the plain, non distracting steering wheel, I feel that there should be controls due to the crappy nav screen's response to touch. Gosh, even my 2010 Civic coupe EX had better sound, iPod compatibility, and easier controls to switch between songs.

Maybe it's a sign that we should use the voice command more often? LOL who are we kidding that button is useless.

Amen to that brother.

Me personally the stereo is fine if you use the aux jack so there is no lag in the music and I set the navigation voice on the French lady. Bonjour! Conduisez prudemment!

The nav is so laggy, it's just about useless. The capacitive touch is shit. Touch is shit in general for car use on common things (back, forward, presets). The speakers are cheap and provide poor range and huge distortion. The bluetooth works great for me... never had a problem with syncing or staying connected.

I'm waiting for a good Android based head-unit to hit the market, and then go through the speakers as well. A Nexus 7 mounted with an amp sounds like fun, but I don't really have the time, and wouldn't provide me with hard buttons.

Does calling work for you? I couldn't hear my friend when he called me yesterday, maybe it was the reception, but idk. Maybe you have more experience here?

Have you read the voice commands section of your owner's manual???

This meant you had no reason for buttons on the unit itself.

I for one hate trying to skip songs on the touch screen. I never am able to skip songs without looking at it.

Don't get me started about the Bluetooth. I swear this takes 10 mins to sync.
