Another quick update, hottest weather yet in the Bay so far this year (90-95 or so inland here) and the kit is still rock solid. A 1.5 hr drive to and from SJ in massive traffic and early summer heat was a great test drive to see if the idle issue would return.

But nope. No idle issues, no CELs, no DTCs, nothing bad. Just power and fun.

I'm starting to think it needs more boost, though. Was going to hold off on the EBC and other stuff, but I don't know if I can.

Another trip down 680 with a lot of WOT and everything is still fine on AVO's A01C ROM.
Redlining frequently, no problem.

At this point the only thing I'm worried about is a clutch and getting my hands on Visconti's updated tune.

EBCS came in yesterday and I'm trying to figure out how to install this...John sent me his new tune so I am itching to get it in!

Edit: As a teaser, settings are 5 psi, 7 psi and 9 psi. Will buy a member in Nor Cal a case of beer if they can help me figure it out tomorrow, lol.

It shouldn't be too difficult. The ports on it go inline on the boost line that goes from your compressor housing to the wastegate acctuator port. Then it somehow gets wired into a factory sensor. I would interested in any more info you can provide about the install.

I am interested in this, but need to get an explanation on how the gas tank gases purge now. Maybe now its just vented to ATM?

Venting it to atmosphere would be as easy as unplugging the vacuum hose from the fuel tank to the solenoid. I would think that just removing the electrical connector from it would result in it becoming sealed.

Those are my thoughts too. Now, I wonder if venting to ATM would mean fumes getting into the cabin, although we are no strangers to relocating smelly lines...

We are simply just unplugging the sensor and not doing anything else.

That's the suggested way to do it right now

To date have not had any problems

Car is still effed, I attempted the drive to Vegas for 86Fest and by Bakersfield my car was throwing P0014 and C1201 CEL/DTC combo. After clearing it the car would only throw P0014. Clearly there is a cam and/or ECU issue remaining. When warm after 20+ min driving, the car will idle shudder and stall at a stoplight while idling. It's so violent again that I turn the car off at stoplights when this occurs.

Livermore Subaru has agreed to take the car back "one last time" as a courtesy as they are not happy with the modifications on the car, but I have no choice at this point. I'm going to attempt one more warranty repair, and if it doesn't work, get ready for a big part-out thread! If you want to call dibs on parts PM me sooner rather than later...

Have then check your direct injector seals while they are at it.

Not a bad call, you're not the first to recommend that to me. I'll have them check the plugs too, if they're willing.

They may not be willing unless a misfire code is showing, but we'll see.

Oh no! So sorry to hear you are still seeing CELs and bogging/stalling.

Keeping my fingers crossed that Livermore Subaru can sort out the issue for you.

Man, I'm shocked this kit can't seem to play nicely with your car Vub. You seem to be making all the right steps to isolate and weed out this nagging issue.. Maybe your car secretly wants a SC instead
