I don't care about the taillights being on, what I don't like is how dim the dash and nav get with the parking lights on. Yes I can just adjust the dimmer, but that gets annoying.

I will have to disagree. I love the headlight, LED, Fog configuration on the BRZ. It was one of the main reasons I picked the BRZ over the FRS. But to each his own.

100% agree. The nav gets hard to read, especially withsunglasses on without adjusting the dim everytime.

Then do what I did. What you say was exactly my motivation too. I don't care for sidemarkers/tails being on, but I wanted the nav to keep it's daytime color scheme when headlights are off.

Yeah, that irritates me too, I ended up setting it so it didn't dim or change color at all with the parking lights because I always turn them on and the nav screen is pretty crappy and hard enough to read at full brightness during a bright sunny day as is, it's like it's off when dimmed.

I believe they're headlight washers on Toyobaru models outside of the U.S.

Yeah this used to bug me too. Just go onto the Info Setting and adjust auto dimming of the Nav Screen to TIME, rather than having it connected to the HEADLIGHTS being turned on/off. The one that bugs me is that the 3 LED Bar Light above the fogs don't turn on with the Headlights + Boomerang + Fogs at night or day. If someone can figure this out, that'll be awesome.. This should help http://www.**************.com/9-suba...-lights-4.html |

I have never understood the purpose of parking lights......
Its basically every light turns on except headlights. Makes even less sense when your DRL IS low intensity low beams. |

Parking lights allow you to be seen when parked along the road. Driving with just parking lights on is illegal, and annoying.
