In chicago that's just called parking.
Wet sand and touch up paint. If the gouge is really deep a little bondo.

If you're not experienced with fixing paint, I would suggest you not do it yourself. Your spots aren't that big but paint is tricky, and you may end up making it worse.

This is actually what I'm worrying, Hawaiian explained it well, but I think I might make it worse...

You can just use touch up paint if you want a temporary fix and get it done by a professional down the road. It'll look better, but not perfect

Look around for body shop deals, some higher volume shops will have simple bumper repair deals like $199 for a total repaint. It's usually the newer tech learning to paint but I've never had a problem. Call a major dealership in your area and see who they use.

For 10 bucks and some patience, touch-up paint will fix that well enough. You really won't be able to notice it unless you are right up on the car or looking for it...
When I was younger, every scratch and dent drove me crazy and I always paid to have them properly fixed. But then I realized that people are idiots and will continue to scratch, dent, and nick my car...I got over having a perfect car pretty quickly. Small stuff like that just gets touch up and I move on. |
