I agree with you 100%, but I've seen plenty of threads asking, "can I afford this car?" or talking about their 6%+ interest rates. People will do what they want to do....even if it's fiscally irresponsible.

I would never trade my car in for another FRS or BRZ even if it had the options I wanted. My car has already depreciated $3k in 5 months As you mentioned, it would be a dumb move based on the loss of money alone.

I did this too because I'm impatient lol. Also it's nice having the option to get rid of it in 3 years if I don't want it anymore or if the car becomes problematic.

As far as the 10 series other than the headlights (still like the brz's better) and maybe the climate control and push start I dont see the car worth getting for the extra price over a regular FRS or BRZ.

yes and my opinion is:

FRS bumper>BRZ mustache bumper
BRZ stock spoiler is ugly, so is FRS stock spoiler (going Five Axis)
Dont care about fog lights
Dont care about radio
Dont care about seat fabric
FRS suspension>BRZ suspension because Oversteer>Understeer

Plus the FRS is cheaper...

Only thing I envy on the BRZ are the headlights.

Different strokes for different folks. I prefer the FRS but I like both cars. Whether its a BRZ or FRS we pretty much all drive the same car and I show love equally.

For what it's worth, I actually like the frs front end better but it's all the little things that make the car an obvious non-choice for certain target markets.

16-23 year olds will go scion, older people and more mature are picking up the brz. This is a pretty obvious detail that I've seen hanging out with all the local guys.

Need to add that purpose built race cars don't count, and scion has a much better media/sponsor program than Subaru.

I have yet to see a single brz commercial.

^btw sticking to the ground is better than spinning out

Would it cost you more if you lease the car then decide to buy it?

Not sure how that leasing then buying it would be a wise move..

You can spin out in a BRZ too.... Or in any car for that matter, that is if you don't know how to control it properly.

It's really preference. I'd rather my car a little tail happy than have it understeer like a fwd car. Already have a car that understeers, dont need two lol.

I'm going to stop now because this thread is turning into another FRS vs BRZ debate
