566 manuals to US as 125 manuals are going to Canada. Plus 125 autos for total of 250 in Canada.

2700 units worldwide of a truly unique vehicle versus 2500 in NA of what is essentially just a different paint job for a vehicle that a 10000 unit production run per year for the next 5+ years... Yeah ill take the 1M on rarity any day...

the 1m is just a modded 1 series I was about to buy one but again, it's a 1 series, and it was turned into an M. so I figured, I like the FRS way more than the 1 series, so why not turn my car into a TRD FRS. I don't know, different strokes for different folks

the 1m I was buying was a 300 mile car, white, with black interior. but again, my wife hated the look, and it's really not a car (as a virgin with no mods) built specifically as a track car. just my opinion...I think that was $63k I was going to pay.

ps, I like the 1m a lot, it was on my list of cars, so no offense to those who like it...it's fantastic! but again, it's my preference to go with a TRD FRS...not many will go that route, I figure it will be pretty unique the way I built it the way I want it...

Lol I could go with the 1 series, but IMO it looks stupid... Like a shoe haha, more like a squished 3 series

Interiorwise yes... it is a 1 series... but drivetrain wise its a completely different car... it's basically an m3 in a shorter wheelbase... and it kicks the m3's ass at the track

You're exactly right, to each their own. I for one, am happy enough with a 10 Series FR-S, I think it is perfect sense of rare without costing an arm & a leg. I will be one of 250 in Canada and they will differ from US because we don't get 6.1" touchscreen haha but I'd love the rarity of being a 1 of 450 LFA owner, or better yet 1 of 50 LFA Nurburgring Package.
