There's three pieces to the mount: a piece bonded to the window with adhesive, a piece screwed with two Phillips head screws to the bonded piece, and the piece that slides onto that assembly, which also contains the mirror. The last piece, the one with the mirror attached, is held in place by a single hex key screw. The two Phillips head screws were the one that came loose in mine so the second and third assemblies dropped. I undid the hex key, reattached the Phillips screws and then slid the third assembly on and tightened the hex back down. Vibration of the mirror is significantly less now, so I think I should be okay...

awesome, my work must like me.

i was bitching about how uncomfortable the Herman Miller Aeron I had been using for the past 2 years was (#firstworldproblems). Without batting an eyelash my boss gave me the green light to pick up a new Herman Miller Mirra.

I'd never spend $900 on a chair, but damn, that thing is comfortable.

Bought it from my friend Jim who had it sitting in Cali for over over 6 years, then I shipped it over, got it up an running, added a new OS Giken diff drove it for a bit and then let it sit in my garage for over a year since I've gone back to school. It's a solid little car, just needs a starter issue addressed and a little tlc on getting the front bumper back on. Other than that you won't find a less driven, pretty much rust-free 240.

Make/Model/Trim: Nissan 240SX XE (coupe)
Year: 1990
Location: Redding, California (Northern Cali) for a many many years, then Bethesda, MD
Mileage: Odometer excempt, historic tags, clean title in hand.
Engine Type: SR20DET, stock
Transmission Type: S14 transmission
Asking: $4,000

Modifications:

-SR20DET swapped in the car back in '04
-S14 transmission, for a newer, less grinded version
-Cusco Zero2 coilovers (ran me 2k+ bought new, never raced on as I bought them shortly before storing the car)
-5lug swap w/Z32 brakes
-Apexi rear strut tower bar
-Walboro 255 hp fuel pump
-S14 SE wheels (2sets)
-Greddy oil filter relocation kit (because nobody likes the stock placement of the SR oil filter)
-Apexi cone air filter
-Blitz 3 inch downpipe
-Catco high flow catalytic converter

-Apexi N1 Dual catback
-HKS turbo Timer
-Blitz or HKS oil pressure/boost gauges (cant recall)
Story behind the car (Previous owner Jim, who is an old autox buddy):

Back in early '04 I bought the coupe, did all the modifications on it in a 3-4 month timespan. To test the motor stability, I drove the vehicle to Florida for an assignment I had out there while in the military.

While in Florida, I got word that I had orders to be stationed in Germany. Upon completing my time in Florida, I drove the car to my parents house in October of '04 where the car has sat ever since.

For five years, the car has only been moved once, and that was to the facility where it's being kept now. All the rest of the cars on here that you can buy have been subject to years of abuse, where as mine has been sleeping for half a decade.

-Interior was undergoing a full strip that only got half completed. Carpet is gone, car only has (two) seats and some of the sound deadening material is gone (didn't have a chance to finish the rest). I was prepping this car for Street Modified SCCA before I got orders to Germany.

-Bumper has a hole in it for a pathing to the side mount intercooler, as USDM bumpers dont have the holes needed for the air travel.

I bought it in 2011 and did all the maintenance and got it up and running:
- Fans rewired
- Cleaned ground for taillights
- Replaced interior headlight switch
- Bled clutch
- Clutch button always in
- Oil change
- New battery
- Battery tie down
- eagle f1 tires
- New os giken 1.5 diff
- new rear caliper
- bled brakes
- adjusted belts
- one shim removed from front brake
- calipers cleaned and rebuilt
- brake booster replaced
- replaced all fuel hoses
- new mishimoto radiator
in 2012
- replaced motor at JE imports in bmore after the last one was toasted at Summit when a friend was driving it.
- painted flat white
- Been parked in the garage since March, just sitting. needed a push to get started the last time it was driven so something with the starter needs attention.
- 2 spare right fenders, spare front bumper, stock diff

Needs attention: front right of car but it's not very serious and the starter issue.
