Road Trip
My sons, ages 10 and 13, and I traveled 80 miles to the nearest dealer with cars in stock. We traded in our practical, beloved 2011 Tacoma Double Cab PreRunner V6 on June 5th. I loved that truck. It was the best truck we ever had. Two things did bother me about it, however. First, I always found myself squirming to get more comfortable in the seat. Second, I hated the fact that a tank of gas was costing me nearly $70. It seemed like such a waste to use so much gas just to get around.
We used our truck as a hauling vehicle on rare occasions, and heavy loads definitely strained the leaf springs. I decided that I could deal with renting a truck when I need to haul heavy or large items in the future. There is a U-Haul across the street from Lowes, which is perfect for me. Their trucks also have much greater payload capacity than my short-bed Tacoma did. I'll never forget the journey my sons and I had driving down near Magic Mountain to see the FR-S, making the deal, and driving back with HUGE smiles on our faces. We were not speeding, but that drive back home went by soooo fast. For us, having the FR-S is as good as owning a Ferrari, except we didn't have to sell our house to get it, and it will be far more dependable.

Greetings. My name is Mike, and I'm a caraholic.
When I bought my FRS about a month ago I joined another FRS forum and realized it was dead or dying and I just found this place. I've had the pleasure of owning many nice sports cars through the years, and the FRS has proven to be one of my favorites. I'm one of a handful of MR2 Spyder owners that I know from the spyderchat and spyderweb forums that have kept their Spyders as weekend warriors and use the FRS as a daily driver. I decided to get the AT (don't hate on me) after spending quite a bit of time driving both versions. I'm quite impressed with it. When I want to shift and go fast I'll drive my turbo MR2 Spyder. The FRS is a joy to drive and I hope I can wait until the warranty expires before I super charge it. We'll see.

Welcome! Just ignore the AT bigots by the way. Drive and enjoy.
What I really want is a picture of your Falcon mentioned in your signature!

Just saying Hello
Hey everyone,
Just picked up my 2013 Asphalt FR-S 3 weeks ago and so far I am in love with its performance. I spend alot of time on the road and I find that it makes the time a complete joy. I have already thrown a woofer to the sound system. Anyway, just saying Hi.

Hello all! My name is Lisa. I just picked up my FR-S almost a month ago and love it. I had a tC for about 3 years and loved it but after driving this car, there is absolutely no comparison. I'm new to my area too, so if anybody knows of any meets around Columbia, SC... Let me know!

Hello everyone! My name is Brandon and I picked up my beautiful Raven a couple weeks ago! Here it is on the big night! Of course my wife wanted to put some cheek prints on it immediately lol!
It's been a long time since owning a fun car I crave to mod, so let it begin! Can't wait to share all the progress with everyone! ![]() ![]()

Hello Folks,
My name is humfrz (Roger) and I purchased a FR-S about 6 weeks (only1300 miles) ago. mrs humfrz and I came out of a 2006 MX-5 (Miata), which we drove for over 7years and 88,000 miles (mostly top down) throughout the Western US and Canada. We are looking forward to many fun filled driving adventures with this fine machine. The only additions so far are: locking lug nuts, painted the muffler flat black, splash guards, little plaque for the depression in the console, radar detector, covered the visor labels with thin black felt like stuff and installed a center arm rest (for two). This weekend (Fathers Day) I'm having a Kenwood in dash receiver installed, with 6.1”screen, GPS, CD/DVD/CD-R/WMA/MP3/AAC/MPEG-1/MPEG-2, Bluetooth, iPod, Pandora, Aha,iHeart and XM. Oh, my …. I wonder if it gets regular radio stations … ?? So, the mrs and I love to travel, we just tired of too much sun and freshair in a roadster. I have enjoyed this fine forum and hope to make some contributions in the future. humfrz |

Hi guys!
My name is Anthony and I too recently purchased an Argento Scion FR-S. I've constantly been on the FT86club forums simply because it's so addicting. I love seeing what everyone has done to their car, no hatred. Everyone has their own taste, as I too will. I have many plans for the car, just not the money yet. Doesn't everybody wish for money? Haha, see you guys around! Teeeazy |

Hi all! New FR-S owner from NY here. Just finished up the lease on my 2011 Mustang and came over to the import side for the first time in my 8 years of driving. I never truly understood what it meant for a car to be "fun to drive" until I started driving this FR-S. the 100hp drop between cars is the last thing on my mind, so much more satisfying to drive this around
