Insurance fraud is a misdemeanor in most states.

Call your insurance, get the car fixed, return to driving it and loving it. There is no way the car will be totaled, and your "new" car was never the same the day you drove it off the lot.
My "new" car gets full value from my insurance for 2 years if it is written off, so yes, it is the same the day I drove it off the lot. I have hail damage on 2/3 of the car (hood, roof, trunk, fender, quarter panel, door) so it is very possible it could be written off. All that has to happen is the damage + salvage value of the car is greater than the value of the car. I was just looking for input on how much damage in dollars hail can cause so the insurance company doesn't try to screw me.

Also I don't see anyone recommending insurance fraud other than one joke so quit with the condescending attitude.

I got your joke, and your little emoticon. The fact is people will read that and that will give them the idea. This guy obviously wants to total his car, so I could definitely see him doing that. The insurance company isn't going to "screw" you. They are going to get a quote for what it will cost to repair it, and it will be less than totaling the car.

Based on the pictures, The car is a total loss and it will not be repaired.
