a 26" fits perfect. i run the 26/11.5/15 et street radial on mine. you're going to have to slip the clutch to get it off the line without bogging down. i was leaving at almost 7k rpms and still had some bog. broke an axle before we could start pre-loading the clutch and leaving with the e brake. just going to take some trial and error but with a 26" et street we were cutting 1.6 60's with the ls swap frs. was a little easier with that car since it had more tq to leave with so we didn't really have to slip the clutch to compensate for bog.

My previous car was a 5.0 liter Mustang with a manual. The first gear was a 3.27 and I had 4.10 final drive gears. I had 235/60/15 drag radials also. I made 288 RWTQ and only 215 hp on a dyno jet. The best 60ft I got was 1.89, I would launch around 4-5k. however, I was frequently able to get low 1.9's. I think a 235 should be fine. I am not sure what PSI you were running and if you had a full or empty gas tank. Weight over the wheels in certain cases can make a HUGE difference in either getting traction or spinning. What RPM were you at when you finished? What PSI were you running? That is a lot of HP and TQ for this car and trans. I had a built trans, rear end and axles, driveshaft, clutch and flywheel to handle my launches. I was lucky not to break anything then. If I did that with my FR-S I would be surprised if I got 1-5 passes before my trans broke, rear end or axles. My Stock FR-S rear end and transmission wouldn't last very long with drag racing.

I went with 235 because i dont think i have enough power to spin 255s and could only find a light rim because DRs are heavy. its prety hard to get weight over the wheels because the tank in in the middle of the car. i left everything in the trunk because of that resion and also played with the coilover settings still only got a 2.2 60
My rims should be here monday and probly gonna get to the track that weekend also getting DSS axles ans a prescation i will try leaving off the e-brake will post later on my what happens looking for mid 12s |

I am not sure if you were doing a burnout to warm up the tires or not? The PSI can also make a huge difference! What PSI were you running? Grip can also be affected by the track and the preparation that is done that day or lack there of in some cases. What was the temp outside? depending on the day certian tracks vary in grip
