APR Splitter - Any Issues?

Looking into getting one soon for my FRS (Anyone selling a used one? )

I've heard some horror stories of them ripping off at speeds above 80MPH. I'm just worried because I do drive around 80 sometimes and take a trip to NorCal and back hitting up to 100 at some points and going 80-90 average.

Has anyone had any experience with these being ripped off, pulling excessively, or any troubles in general?

I plan to install them with the rods.

I haven't heard of any issues of them ripping off..kinda defeats the purpose of them if thats the case.

Do you track your car? If not, why not look into a simple lip?

If you do track your car, search WASP Composites on this site. Very cool product.

I drive passed 80 all the time and have no issues with it. You have to install it correctly in order for it not to ripped. I drilled the rods onto the crash beam, it was a bitch, but it's the only way I know it'll be effective.

I have no problems at 90 mph. It does take a beating from scraping and all but it holds up well. My rods are mounted to the grill and it's still on lol

I've tracked mine for 2 seasons so far no problems. All depends on how you mount it. Wasp composites is definitly a stronger product with less flex but I still love my apt splitter.

In fact I had an incident where I dodged a coyote and skimmed a curb in the middle of a drift, the splitter hit the curb dead on and didn't brake, my bumper wasn't as lucky, but nothing a little zip tie stitching couldn't fix lol.

I also ended up having an accident with mine, hit a boulder at 50k and the splitter stayed intact for the most part.
