Wheel Directory: Rota Torque 17x9.0 +30
![]() These Torque's were available locally, so I impulsively purchased them today. They are 17x9 F&R with a +30 offset. The lip pushes about 1.5" out from the fenders and I stretched some 215/50s on them. I know that the stretched look isn't for everyone, please don't waste your time arguing about how you think these look... this topic is informational only so you can compare sizes, etc. UPDATE: PHOTOS ON LOWERED CAR ON PAGE 3! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Do the stretched wheels put extra load on the wheel bearings?

The wheels are 2" wider than stock and most of that is pushed away from the car, so there is probably an extra load on the bearings. Bearings aren't that expensive or hard to replace, and that would be something to worry about years down the road anyway, so I'm not stressing about it.

Is that 1.5" out from the front? How much less for the back? Thanks!

It was about the same front and back: 1.5"
The stretch on the tires helps it look better, and once the car is lowered the negative camber should help even more.

Once it's been loaded, I don't think it'll stick as much as most people think. Eager for the results. Actually thought of these for my street set

And Impreza bearings were a PITA to change in and out. I remember helping my friend change her 85 Corolla's wheel bearings and being extremely jealous over how easy it was.
Of course, the BRZ/FR-S may have different bearings, but just from visual appearances they look similar. |

Well he bearings are bolted on instead of pressed in, so how bad could they be? Unless their like the focus bearing I chaned one time. The axle and hub had rusted together REALLY badly. I destroyed the threads on the press I used to separate them, thank god for loan a tool programs.

I don't think it is legal to drive around without tires. Busted!
But seriously, because I stretched the tires onto the wheels the actual tread area of the tire is flush with the fender. I'll snap a few more photos today.

I wanted bronze, actually, but the shop had the black chrome in stock, which matched my dark gray paint nicely, so I went with that instead. I should have this thing lowered on Monday or Tuesday, photos soon to come.
