Turn signal problem

I recently switched my front turn signal bulbs for LED bulbs. As expected, I experienced hyper flashing. I then installed resistors to prevent the hyper flashing. When my headlights are off, the turn signals blink regularly (slowly flickers on and off) but when the headlights are turned on, the turn signal lights stay on and softly flicker on but never flicker off as opposed to flickering on then off on then off...

Does anyone know how to remedy my problem?

did you install just individual resistors or the blinker module? If it is just resistors then it sounds like an ecu thing your car is trying to work out and you probably need the module and if you already have the module then it's probably a bad one. Where did you get your LEDs from?

Replace the Flasher Module, and don't mess around with resistors.

yea the flasher module is the best bet since it's a direct replacement and takes like 30 seconds to put in. You can get one for like $10 or so and just remove the resistors

This might not be the place to ask, but if I replace the fronts with LEDs but not the rear, can I still use the flasher replacement or do both front and back have to be LED before the swap?

yea you can still use the flasher. That's how i have it set up. LED's in the front and the standard bulbs in the back. Works like a charm

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but for stock turn signal bulbs, it flashes by having the bulb go brighter -- dimmer-- brighter, (instead of mon--off--on) when the headlights are on. So isn't thee op's turn signal just doing what it does stock?

I always thought when the headlights are on, the bulb flashes on the off on then off just like when the headlights are off. Or am I mistaken?

I replaced my bulbs with 7443 but am still having the same issue. Also, when the headlights are on, the bulb flashes really dim

A flasher that works best for this application can be found in the vendor classified ads. Called 'TapTurn' solves the resistor problem and adds convenience signaling as well.
