86 crankcase side air fuel direction?

Hi, everyone
Just get confused about crankcase side pcv direction.
1. Air from intake to crankcase
Or 2. Air from engine crankcase to front intake tube

Which direction is correct?

As I know pcv side direction is from engine to intake manifold.

Thanks

I believe the air is to go from the crankcase to the intake.

It's meant to manage blow by of expanding gasses around the rings and pistons into the crank case.
It used to go up the oil galleries and out the vent on one of the valve covers.

That's double plus ungood now.

The vent now goes back into the intake side to be recycled into the cylinders.
Needs a one way valve to stop the crank case from becoming over pressurized and pushing oil out the crankshaft and camshaft seals.
