Chinese Ca-Fi knockoff has been rooted! Torque works!

All sorted and everything is working fine now i just got to set up all up.

Have people been go some pictures of how they set up there home screens and what navi programs they are using

Edit play store has just stopped working tried force stopping it and clearing the data, turning off wifi even forgetting my wifi and reconnecting. Internet working fine as I can still get on the internet?

Only thing I have changed is have the brightness on the left knob when pressed

Is there a recommended store for the unit? And is there anyway to easily find the same unit on ebay?

Not sure why play store would stop. Mine stops when Internet connection is dodgy.

Try searching for an app using browser and selecting it and when it says how you want to install choose the play store and see if it works that way. At least that night narrow down if it is the store app or your login etc

I know I have asked this before but I still cant get the speech to work in Torque. I have tried updating to the latest version of torque, tried not having any running sound, tried rebooting with nothing loading, tried setting the navi button to torque. Even tried running the android stock music player while testing the speech function on torque but no luck. Has anyone else had this problem or has a fix.

This is just all bench tested at the moment
I have just rebooted it and it works again but if I disconnect it from the battery and reconnect it the play store won't connect.

I need to stop posting as soon as something goes wrong it's a bad habit.

But I have found out that if I just disconnect the acc cable and reconnect it like as if turned my car off with the key the play store and everything else works fine.
So fingers crossed that my battery never goes flat other wise I need to reboot and set everything up again

Normally, the tuner stays powered up for a few seconds after the ignition has been turned off. (In my car at least, the door buzzer goes off if I try to open it before the tuner has fully powered down).

It is possible that certain settings are saved/written/flushed to flash during this period. If you simply yank the power (easy to do on the bench, not so much in a car), then it is possible that settings get lost.

Try pulling the power now that the Play store has been correctly configured (and state saved to flash). You might find it is no longer an issue.

Couple of questions for you guys who have this or similar units.. Has anyone started to make a red led version of the same deck? I'll pay for the modification if someone offers a reasonable price.

Does anyone happen to have a Valentine 1 with the V1 Connection? There is an app called YaV1 that I would like to see if its compatible with this headunit. Its basically a radar detector app that shows on screen infomrmation from the V1 and allows gps lockouts as you run into electric doors or speed signs. If the app works well with these headunits, i'll surely buy one soon and ditch the phone app.

Only LED option at this stage is to convert yourself - here's the DIY http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42023 but is only for the skilled (unlike me).

I will look at loading that app for you and seeing it it works - can only test if I can start it as won't have the compatible radar detector.
