I bought the mitec springs, kart boy tranny mount insert (same as whiteline), perrin rear shifter bushing, and Motul 300 for the diff...will get redline MTL for the tranny... very similar to your set up...can you please let me know how you like shifting now? I still have to get my car done...
Regarding the Perrin T, I wonder if using a mill and taking off a little bit to make room for rubber insert so you can get the vertical support as well as the lateral from the whiteline insert...but that's just theories...if you are happy with it...that's good to know. |

Ya I got not interested in messing with the Perrin solution. I have friends that done both the Perrin and Kartboy or Whiteline mount together and the NVH was rediculous.
I'm 100% pleased with the shifting feel overall for sure. The springs were an awesome mod for sure as well.

Some small winter updates...
No driving happening as the snow builds deeper by the day
![]() Got the FA20 Club P3 Integrated Guage in so decided recently to install it. Found some great tips and help here for tapping into the parking light wire behind the drivers side kick panel. This is not an adjustable dimmer but rather just dims when you put on parking or driving lights. I feel I'll be very pleased with this Guage as it has great options overall. Here are pics and video of the Guage in operation. ![]() ![]() Picture shared from another member "eck04" to display which wire to tap the P3s "green wire" into. Tap into the (Parking Wire) Under advisement I as well did a military splice to engage the connection. ![]() Here is a video just quickly passing through some of the readings and functions of this gauge. Winter slow mod season as she sits..
Got this TRD back window piece in other day. "Supposed" to keep air from basically parachuting the trunk or boot as euros call it. A nice looking little cosmetic anyhow. got it from Japan Parts![]()

Nice looking piece. Might I ask how much did it end up costing you to get it to Alberta?

Well finally got my seat dramas done lol. Took out all my seats, going to apply some MLV below where back seats are. In that process ordered the GT86 rear leather with red stitch armrest, nice little piece. Next update will be new seats and leather

Good build thread!
Interesting build thread.
I quite like the choice of some of your mods. I find it surprising you like the Whiteline KDT926 over the Perrin T mount(I'm using a CUSCO/Perrin T combo myself) as when I had the 926 on, it would be less noise but more vibration. I don't mind the noise much, just the vibration lol. Also with the DSS CF shaft, that noise could be due harmonic vibration. As you know the stock DS is two piece which helps remove part of that vibration and noise. Maybe try the whiteline diff insert to see if that helps. Your car must rev quickly like crazy though with the pulleys and CF DS. I couldn't imagine a car with all the trick I/H/E and weight removal stuff(flywheel, lightweight forged 16's, pulley, CF drive shaft, intake mods and full exhaust) would go. I really like how you removed the rear seats, I've yet to do that myself. Will be handy for track days. Do you have any more additional pics of your seat removal? Would be much appreciated.
