I will take video of my sp elite and let you see what happens after a few months of having it. You will be up closer to 90DB but when new it's like 74DB and I believe stock tops out around 70 so it gets much louder but still quiet enough to pass a sound test.

Wow! It is almost hard to beleive it may change that much. From 74 to 90DB is a huge step.

May be I'll regret the HKS font pipe later on because of that.

I'll see. I can always reinstall the stock front pipe and resell the HKS.

It is a 15 minutes job on my lift to switch them.

I'm glad I came across this. It's not the right time for me to mod anything yet, but as far as exhaust is concerned, I thought I had it all figured out. I'm rethinking the exhaust game and now leaning towards the SP Elite. I wanted the Evo 3, but thinking about it now, I'd like it to be more quieter in the cockpit. I didn't mind that before, but i'm older now and would still like to enjoy my basic audio system. I think your overall exhaust tone is what will sound good to my ears when the time comes.

^ The evo3 is not loud if you keep the silencers on them, I went to a local car meet a week ago and after hearing all those loud cars with their straight pipes I was content that my evo3 + silencers was actually very quiet.

And if you want it to be loud on track days or take your anger towards a parking ramp and sound off all the car alarms then you have the freedom to take off the silencers and cause havoc(Even though I never done this before)

I could see myself being rebellious and doing that, but no... I'm doing my best to be the law abiding citizen. From experience, it ain't worth getting in trouble. But yeah...i totally forgot about the silencers. Also, i was considering the Evo 3 since i've read/heard that its good for a possible turbo application later.

Inside the car the sounds is not loud at all. You will like it.

I was surprise on those videos to see how it sound outside because insside is a lot quieter.

My custom max speed exhaust with the borla UEL and stock front pipe and stock cat is really freaking loud. Cold start and driving is really loud. I had a video up on here with it

I had sound concerns with my SP Elite when I first purchased it as well, but after 4 months of ownership, it has definitely woken up a bit. I had my girlfriend drive my car around the block while letting her practice her manual driving skills, and was surprised at how clean and crisp the Sp Elite sounded from outside the car.
