Im assuming its the same ones. I dont like how it looks without it so when I get the new ones I'll be using strength thread locker on the bolts to keep them in place.

Not that bad considering most of the feed back is positive and almost everyone who dealt with them is happy.
Also if you aren't going to contribute to a feedback thread about a product I don't see why you would post in it. If you want to talk shop about their air intake go to that thread not this review one

![]() How so? Its a great thread for Airaid. So many satisfied customers! When you sell this many intakes, obviously you may run into a few who experience less than favorable results. That goes for any product or industry, its how you handle those issues that show what type of company you are. Airaid cares about their products & performance. That was proven in the development thread & with the final product. How many other intake brands actually are building an FRS project? How many other brands to you know who have the actual designer of the part posting and taking feedback on forums? They care about the customers. If you cant see that in this thread and others... Even the few guys with problems have posted how well this was handled. Ive been in the industry a long time - Ive sold 30+ intake brands. Airaid is one of the best intake companies I have ever had the pleasure of repping. Quote:

![]() Every company/vendor is susceptible to having issues, it's how they handle the issues that's important. AIRAID/AJUSA = easily my favorite vendors here based on this thread alone. The intake is only a very sweet bonus ![]() I saw peoples posts about contacting airaid for replacement screws, done and done!

Forgot to mention big props to AJUSA and AIRAID for what could be the best group buy price I've seen so far!
200 for this intake is a still IMO.

I agree with all the props to Airaid and AJUSA. when my intake tube had the wrong size threaded hole, they sent a replacement next day! My question about the screws is . . . if this is an reoccurring issue, replacement screws exactly like the ones that fell out will be come loose as well. Will small lock washers keep enough tension to keep them in? should we use a larger screw? Any other alternatives?

This thread also shows people getting the wrong size PCV elbows and having mild to severe bogging issues. Not to mention the finger pointing on AIRAIDs part and deletion of posts. Also, not the customers fault. Hope that clarifies why some people view the thread as negative. Sorry for the rant, I just really didn't appreciate the condescension. |

Hey guys, on the loose screw issue I would like to point out that we use the same brass threaded inserts on all of our kits and have never had this number of complaints about them coming loose. My first thought was that it's because it's a boxer and it runs a little rough, but that doesn't make sense when diesel's and UTV's are fine. All I can think is maybe the black coating changed something? We usually use plain stainless steel hardware, but we made the lid and hardware black at the forum's request.
Either way, please understand that this can happen when you lead with the first product of any kind. We went above and beyond on R&D, but we still can't match the thousands of miles on hundreds of vehicles that you guys will put our product through. I hope the community can see our commitment to stand behind the product and make everything right. A step has been added to the instructions about using thread locker, and that should be all that is needed. |

Glad you addressed the issue. You should also include a tube as well as a hex key for those whom might not have this readily available.

What lids are you guys using that are having screw problems. One has a foam strip on the bottom, the other did not.
