Also note I was more than willing to put serous cash down to help a local tuner invest in ecutek... I even asked two tuners but no one wants to put the 8k or whatever down. I am sure there is enough of us to create a small profit margin? I'll likely be A) driving to cali w/ supercharger disconnected or B) a different remote tuner (that i wont name for the time being) that i talked to and he agree'd to schedule a dyno session with me so that i can have a real tune done properly.

I really do wish someone like Goodspeed or Dynocomp would become an ecutek tuner for the twins. I always feel more comfortable being able to talk face to face with someone with these types of situations. Plus, I can walk to both of those places from my work.

I am sure if enough of us had cash in hand it could be possible. At this rate and frustration i may have to just say FUCK ALL and go with an LS swap. haha

Tony does not tune EcuTek. The license fee was going to be like 8k... if enough want to chip in i think we can convince tony to do it. afaik KOS doesn't know anyone either. If you want to go AEM there are plenty of places (Tony @ UMS for one!). However I would prefer to keep my DI, Traction, and immobilizer. I thought about it for a quick moment but losing three features and paying more for the hardware? UGH!

It really is a dead end in AZ unless the community wants to step up and contribute to EcuTEK license. Hell I offered one tuner 1k for tune & licensing. lol

Holy fuck 8k! That's insane! Better off taking a 6 hr trip to cali with supercharger blocked/not connected and bam your good to go! Any quoted from cali tuners? Interesting cause sooner or later a vortech will be in mine

Most hover around the same price, expect $350-800 depending on services. Building a new platform car is expensive now that i look at the money ive spent the last 3 months... lol

And 8K isnt horrible... you have to pay a fee to be an authorized tuner, they give you the software and everything you need. Most platforms do this these days, and then it makes it cheaper for the end user. In this case is tony had this you could simply drive there, he would flash your ecu. You would drive home, install supercharger... drive back. Then he would tune it, and you leave. No hardware required, nothing. However EcuTEK does charge a $200 license fee per vehicle so you would have to pay that fee.

But when compared to AEM you are looking at 600-1600 for hardware, and then still the dyno fee's and tuner fee's. So EcuTEK is much cheaper for the end user which potentially can bring in more clients.

There are more and more systems liek this starting to be used (hondata, cobb etc) on many platforms. All giving the end user a small fee to license the vehicle to be tuned. And then going to a tuner that is licensed and potentially trained to use the software.

The 8k figure is for the license to be an ecutek tuner, not just for a tune.

Dropped my car off at Big Two so they can diagnose my CEL. I am not getting any reading to the scan tool so maybe its a bad port. I checked all fuses and they are all good.
