I'm going to take the plunge on the ECU controlled boost. Too good of a deal to pass up.

EBCS came in today but I'm too noob to figure out how to install it. I've called my mechanic buddy to see if he could help but he's away for the weekend.
Have a whole weekend to figure it out though! |

FYI the line connecting the intake to the purge solenoid blew off on my car. causing a large vacuum leak. I put clamps on 3 hoses to prevent this from happenning. two clamps on the two hoses attached to the purge valve and one more clamp on the end of the line that connects to the intake

Hmm, I'm still not too clear on the instructions. How does the new boost solenoid fit in place of the stock purge valve solenoid? Should I go out and buy extra hose clamps of a particular diameter?
@driver01 if you can do some step-by-step instructions and/or photos that would be incredibly helpful and cool of you, but I understand it takes time. Last edited by vubaru; 05-27-2013 at 02:55 AM. |

I understand the theory but I want to know how to identify the purge valve so I know what to remove and how to re-install the EBCS in place with the proper methods so I don't have vacuum leaks/boost leaks.

The charcoal canister stores all the fuel fumes created withing the fuel tank assembly, its a way of releasing pressure (created by heat) without releasing fuel fumes into the atmosphere. as the charcoal canister gets saturated with fuel we need to empty it, so we connect a hose between the charcoal canister and the intake manifold. now the engine will run too rich due to always having extra fuel from the charcoal canister, thats when the purge vsv comes into play. it is a valve opened and close by the ecu. and thus we control the amount of fuel fumes that go from the charcoal canister into the intake to be burnt out by the motor
@killerkid08 @vubaru Lets break down the install of the boost solenoid controlled by Ecutek in two parts. - Boost hoses connection - Wiring of the boost controller I will edit this later ono when i have more time |

So should we expect that zero info will be posted? Where is a dyno chart that shows boost levels, AFRs, and actual numbers for HP and TQ? What engine mods have been done (exhaust, fuel system, etc.).
