there is alot to choose from... anything is possible with the right amount of money...

i still remember my f22c powered ae86.. i hit a point of its life where everything got boring inside the cabin drifting compared to a 20v powered ae86.. now i built myself another 20v coupe and ditch the f22c powerplant.. now it makes sense why the engineers of toyota stuck to a 200hp powerplant in the gt86.. i love it! just my 2cents.. but then again.. "to each, his own"

If he had stock tyres, there no way he would've been able to launch like that.
He'd be standing still from spinning.

lol.... how about multiple 2jz running over 600 whp for years and years on 93 octane whereas the frs has to run e85? or the fact that they run around 1500hp on it also as a drag set-up and most likely a lot more than that?

come on, an engine that's got a liter over the fa20, stock twin turbos and was put in a car supposedly making 276hp......

it is old tech and like others said, if you put that engine in it you only want to drift or drag, of course it messes up the balance of the car.

I'm not bashing on the fa20, but saying that it is in every way better than the 2jz is just ridiculous.

NICE !

With a bit more practice on the launch, he can bring it into the mid 10s.

This car is still in stage one. It has the full 2jz swap with oem quality. It gonna go through development as time passes. I have driven this car plenty of times ans it feels very OEM!! The attention to details is just amazing. AC works along with all the dash instrumentation.

EKanoo racing members didn't pay a lot of time lately on the car coz they (we) were busy with this the past few weeks...

It doesn't matter if its e85 or not, the point is it cant be said what the FA20 can or cant handle yet. Its still way to soon to make judgement how reliable this engine is. If this conversation were being had in 2-3 years I would say yes you could go one way or the other. No one knows which is better right now, its just opinion.

Also lets say this does 800hp on average before failure and a 2J does say 1000hp on average before failure... which is really a better motor? The bigger oem turbo motor or the smaller high comp na motor? Comes down to how well it does for what it has over raw final hp numbers.

The 2JZ was only advertised in Japan as 276 because of their agreement. Here it was advertised as 320, tho it also had bigger injectors and different cams in the US than in japan.

As I said before, Im not saying either is better right now. Im saying you cant say which is better yet. I've had hell idk 6-7 2J and 1Js and now this. I like both engines, and hope to see a future inline 6 still to surpass both engines.

Nice! Do you have any interior pics, how much modification did it require for the transmission?

That looks like such a well done swap. I love it. Long live the 2j. Anyone have any info about what they are using to tune it? What ECU? What conversions they ran to make the cluster work properly? I'm so intrigued by this build.

Owner ebraheem Kanoo didn't release a lot of info but he talked about it on Instagram, I think ( don't quote me) they're running a custom harness which integrates 3 Ecus the stock 86 for the functionality of the interior and other necessities , supra ecu and a AEM standalone.

Chase bay are making a custom harness for a swap in Arizona and I think they're following a similar process.

Other issues I know you would need to address are the steering column.

I looked into this build and still want to do it, but the down time of it ( by shops stated ) was too much

Ps: if any shop in SoCal wants to do it to my car I'm in
