Without the cat you will hear a lot more rasp and volume in the exhaust. |

Oh ok I'm looking at the exhaust parts on NVAuto, Canadian retailer. I'm getting the Perring catack exhaust resonated. They have the option there for the catted or non catted front pipe, just wondering if I should go catted or non catted if I'm getting a resonator on the exhaust and if the catted makes any hp difference. |

I would suggest the catted, since we actually don't have any more of the non catted, we sold out of those months ago. The site you're looking at probably just hasn't updated their site in a while.

Yesterday my non-resonated exhaust set off the aftermarket car alarm on a Civic parked behind me.
That's odd considering the cold start isn't that loud.

I've detected the slightest bit of resonance/drone on my non-resonated cat back at 4200-4300 RPMs. It's nothing I'm upset about because I actually have to listen for it to hear it, but it's there.

Quick question.. I'm noob but with this setup would you be able to install a header later in the future? Just trying to do my research before I purchase an FRS.

Yes. catback doesn't bolt directly to the header so you won't have any issue as long as your header bolts onto the stock location.

I just finished swapping out my midpipe to resonated. I started with catback non-res and the sound was boxer-rumbly but not loud. I added front pipe and overpipe on and the rumble became a bit too much when under load between 2000-3500 rpm. I order the resonated midpipe Tuesday and got it earlier today and installed it. Now the rumble is more of growl and not as upsetting for my neighborhood. I will miss the rumble I think.

The pipe was $300 before shipping. It is a fair bit quieter now but not too tame, about the same as the non-res cat back. The sound is deeper tho due to the front pipe / over pipe.
