The best thing I have done so far cost nothing. Adjusting that damn clutch is hands down the best thing I have done. Absolute zero performance gains but feels so much more natural and just right. Oh and free which is always nice

I've been thinking about that, but keep shying away from it because I'm afraid I'm going to throw off my muscle memory. I almost got it down already, haha.

For all who voted exhaust, is it because of the sound or performance? What type of exhaust are you all using?

Wheels would be my choice since it's got the most visible impact and I wanted mine to stick out from the crowd.

Exhaust is an easy pick for me.

Makes my car sound so much better regardless of any "performance" gains. I notice it every time I start the car, put my foot in the pedal, downshift, look at her from the rear.

I put on the Perrin NON Resonated cat back. Maybe in future I will do headers and down pipe and high flow second cat.

Mach V muffler delete for me. $300 to look and sound 10x better than stock. Slight performance gain by losing all the dead weight of the muffler.

Perrin Silicon inlet tube. It's a nice way to get rid of the sound tube and doesn't have ports with plugs in it to make it look "incomplete".

Im awaiting my order for the Invida Q300 with catless frontpipe, i voted exhaust because i wanted better sound and a little bit more performance. And the price is not too bad for $860 getting almost a full headerback exhaust. I heard adding a frontpipe to an aftermarket catback really does add a little more power. Is this true?

Out of the exhaust, I believe the front pipe/downpipe gives the best performance, as that has the second cat in it. Well, aside from the header (which has the first cat in it).

Has there been any dynos of the Invida exhaust setups? They look very good, and are quite cheap, so I've been curiously eyeing them.

TIRES! $800 worth of power mods vs. $800 worth of tires... the car with the tires wins any race with curves. It's probably not true of every car, but the stock FR-S tires really are the weakest point in the car.
