Ordered these today for the lugs to fit winter wheels...
http://www.brandsport.com/excl-793.html

These tires should be here soon - General Altimax Arctic - SCRATCH THAT - read below...

*edit* - Tirerack offered a rebate on Michelins so I went with them instead. 4 tires for $270ish shipped after rebate. Hard to beat considering the reviews were the same (8.5/10) as the Generals

Ordered these... Michelin X-Ice Xi2

Ordered an HID kit (6000k) for the headlights as well as an LED DRL kit - *EDIT* Taking link out as the products ended up being sub-par.

Also went over to @FT-86 SpeedFactory and bought the Toyota badge kit.

Probably going to buy some plasti dip from dipyourcar.com to coat the wheels and badges.

Dayumm that's a good price on those tires... How'd you get that crazy rebate? I'm seeing $550ish with rebate for the same tires...

They're 15s and therefore cheap... read up on the avus wheel thread.

So I did the Avus 15s with winter tires and adaptors... All works fine, no loosening or anything. For anyone who cares the specs are 15x6 +38 offset wheels with 195/60/15 tires. The lug adaptors from the thread above with OEM lugs. No rubbing, no lug issues.

Pic of mine installed, they were plasti-dipped black with silver metalizer. Sadly its to overcast to see it very well. They look like a dark charcoal metallic. Camera phone quality too :-/

Moving on.
Ordered speedbleeders, RBF600, and the 2 piece smoked blue bat overlays today.

I received my Toyota badges (finally) this week. And will be plasti-dipping them gloss black with metalizer and glossifier over them tomorrow. So they should be a glossy black metallic/hyper black type look. I'll also be installing my HID kit, and disabling the DRLs as well.

So i have the following sitting to be installed...
-HID kit
-Badges/plasti dip
-Perrin crank pulley
-hawk hp+/hps pads
-stainless lines
-fluid (on order)
-speed bleeders (on order)

I'm in the process of leasing a new place and moving my gf up from TX to live with me in the new place, which is slowing me down from installing a lot of stuff (also slowing me down from buying more mods for a bit haha)... Going to be done with moving in the weekend after Thanksgiving... So the game plan is to spend a sat or sun after that (but before xmas - because the gf gets here the week between xmas and new years - I'll be very slow to do anything for a while after that) to install the brakes, the pulley, and bake the headlights to smoke the housings. As I said, I'll get to disabling the DRLs, and the HIDs/badges tomorrow - and will try and get some pics up.

On a service related note... The car has the fuel pump chirp, Scion of Kirkland diagnosed it and ordered the parts (which are on backorder), and whenever they get in I'll drop off the car to get it replaced. Fun stuff.

Picked up an Injen intake (used from a forum member) today
Speed bleeders came in a few days ago
Waiting on the fluid to come in.

Will be moving over the next 2 days then Thanksgiving, I'd like to try and get some mods done over the coming weekend tho.

Finally got some time to install some things...
Did the DRL delete. I set out to install the Injen intake, and while I have the stock intake out, I decided that was the best time to get to the crank pulley and install the Perrin one as well as install my HID kit, So I did exactly that.

Crank Pulley...

Intake

HID kit

And I found out the Grocery store of all places (right down the street from my new house)... has these... I'll definitely be doing an E85 tune and keep 1-2 of these on hand in case I can't make it the 8mi/15 min to the station.

After a small hiatus of moving the gf in. This weekend I'll be doing some small mods.
De-badging the car, baking the headlights for a blacked out look, and putting the blubat overlays on the tails.

I have all the brake items to install but I feel like they'll just make the ABS go nuts as the snow tires on the car are already not great for traction.

Next I'll be looking into suspension, wheels and tires for street, and a test pipe/exhaust. I'm thinking of trying the J2 stuff as its very inexpensive and, as long as the fitment is ok, should be fine to use. (*edit* ended up getting some very good deals on AP and invidia)

Planning on tint and buying a clear bra from cleardefender.com (after I clean up some rock chips )

Then it'll be time to look toward the AVO turbo kit

nice write up man...seriously well thought out and honest. good work.

Also, i lived my whole life in seattle (when to Udub) and do a write up of taking the car on highway 2 to Leavenworth for those of us who sadly...dont live there anymore. Its probably one of the best driving roads. Although you might want to wait for stevens pass to clear up lol.

So after talking with Sam Strano (which is very popular in the corvette/LSx world I come from) I decided no coilovers, as I'll never need that much height adjustment (or any at all really), but I do want dampening adjustment.
I'll be going with Koni Yellows, RCE Yellows (lots of yellow), and crash bolts for camber (OEM ones) as well as an adjustable front sway to stiffen up the front. That should likely be all it needs. However I will see how it goes and if it needs more camber in the rear, if so I'll pick up a whiteline kit. info here http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26089
Bought the springs/bolts today, reserved the Konis and Whiteline Sway bar with Strano. He's holding the bar til the Konis come in and shipping them all together.

Also, some street wheels as well. ESM 004s in 18x9 +38 and Continental DWs in 255/35/18.
Pics of wheels...
