Looks like the hole needed to install that Accele cam is 3x as large as the Rydeen.. Might be harder to install but it would also be less exposed to the elements... Should be a fair trade a more sleek look. Cant wait to see it installed.

I don't think the installation will be too much harder. It comes with the appropriate sized drillbit/hole saw for drilling the mounting hole.

Thats pretty sweet... I also like the spring retainers that hold the cam in place too.. Overall the lens looks almost identical to the Rydeen and sounds a bit better..

the hole is somewhere between a dime and a penny in size. comes with a drillbit/hole saw deal for it.

I did this DIY a couple weekends ago. To anybody who is considering this, this thread is about all you will need to understand what needs to be done. As long as you have the parts at hand (SVXdc connector, camera, and some zip ties), and as long as you've done your reading and understand what needs to be done, the whole process should take you no more than 3 hrs (it took me 2 hrs, and that was with some bumps in the road).

Everything in the car comes off with ease. I would have to say the most difficult part of all was getting the camera wire through the rubber tubing that houses the trunk open wiring from the trunk lid into the trunk itself (BRZ Ltd at least...). Next most difficult was tapping the power into the amp (I used the crude method of stripping and shoving it in). Other than that, the entire process is really clean. You can feed the wire along the left side of the car, underneath the dash, and into the back of the HU. The wire can be cleanly lodged underneath the plastic along the side of the car, and voila, nobody will ever know

Haven't got to it yet, weather has been terrible here lately (cold and rainy). Looks like Saturday is supposed to be nice, that's what I'm aiming for now.

I'm really impressed with how small it is though. think it's gonna look great.

Yeah, it does. I can see enough of the bumper to back about 6-8" away from a wall.

Here you go. Fair warning, the car is filthy at the moment.

I haven't wired it up yet, will probably do that tomorrow, but in the mean time it's mounted.
