I did not have problems, I was just responding to someone else who asked what the condensation was. My car is all good

The light condensation isn't an issue for me so saying it should be fixed on the 2014 model is silly, even Bugatti Veyrons can get condensation in the lights which is a simple fix and not an "upgrade".

Hearing previous rumors that the car will have 230~ HP was exciting news and I am all for it. The car doesn't need 300HP in my humble opinion... Along with the upgrade in power I would expect Subaru to make sure the torque dip is taken care of. That is definitely something which should be fixed for 2014. A few odds and ends I'd like to see is Subaru remove some of the cheap plastic pieces on the interior and swap the parts out for the JDM ones like the kneepads on the center console and the speaker inclosure. When I drove my car cross country and back over the summer (Connecticut to California to Connecticut) the kneepad on the center console was actually painful to rest my knee against after awhile because it's hard plastic and provides ZERO padding. The JDM option for the power folding mirrors would also be nice. I am hoping they will use a nicer material on the fake "side vents". The plastic looks very cheap on the car even when blacked out. HID fog lights would be a nice addition as well.

A few other things I would expect to see (fingers crossed!) - exhaust upgraded...well, at least the tips. Come on Subaru the stock tips look like crap on the US models! I believe it will be a requirement for all cars MY2014+ to have reverse cameras in the US which is something I would really like to have on the BRZ.

Lastly what I really, really like to see done on the 2014 exterior is the same things done to the STI "spy shots" on the Nurburgring. The front splitter, side skirts, those small bits behind the rear wheels, and larger rims with wider tires!

If the 2014 has a majority of things I listed I will definitely plan on upgrading, but I will definitely own a BRZ regardless for a very long time!
Do you seriously expect all of this out of a sub-$30k car? If so, your expectations are too high. All of those bits you mentioned will add to the cost. I agree that the interior pieces would be a nice touch, but HID foglights and power folding mirrors are pushing it. This car does not need larger rims, and a front splitter would make it risky driving up steep driveways or speed bumps.

- turbo model producing over 450 HP
- convertible model...you know for girls
- sedan version (like aston and porsche did)
- BR-E (electric obviously)
- BR-D (Diesel obviously)
- BRZ limited enhanced (more alcantara stuff)

If these are NOT produced then expect to see me on the forum with a nasty/ catastrophically pissy response to subaru and toyota...

Yea, I haven't had any issues with my lights. I do have the crickets though. >.<

I never said anything about wanting it for under $30K. If the 2014 is badged as a BRZ STI, included the stuff I posted, and cost $32K~ so be it, I would consider it. The JDM kneepads are very cheap parts and I think they should be included on the BRZ even if the car costs $200 more. The HID fog lights and power folding mirrors would be nice and I don't NEED them but I would like to see them on the 2014 model. I have driven plenty of cars much lower then the BRZ in areas you can't even imagine and never had issues with scraping. If you bottom out with a front splitter on the BRZ you are doing something wrong....

I would say its almost a guarantee that there will be a new wheel design. If Subaru does anything for new model years it's they mix up the wheel design.

They'll probably get rid of the bright silver accents for a darker silver/grey in the BRZ. They do that a lot with new cars. Make the interior ugly, then tone it down when the community complains.

Forget the 2014, just get the 2013. I'm selling mine

Trading in my BRZ for the new gen WRX STI when it hits the dealerships.

Unless the 2014 has close to 250 hp and less weight then it's gone. Any takers? hehehe

Now that the EVO is out of the picture (for now) that STI is gonna shine.

I'm debating picking up the next gen WRX but I'm definitely going to wait for the 2nd model year. The BRZ is the first car I have bought in its first model year and I don't plan to do it again.

No. The Evo X is being sold through 2013 as a 2013 model. The next gen Evo will be a hybrid.

The new WRX platform is using a 2 liter turbo varient of the FA20. The turbocharger was rumoured to be a hybrid/electric system, but the car itself will not be a hybrid

To me what would make this car flat-out unstoppable would be a turbo that raised it to 300HP... At the current weight this car would be absolutely perfect IMHO... I think that upgrade alone would destroy most other RWD car sales...

I understand that this is not going to happen but it would be nice... At the current price I am happy with what we have in 2013...

BTW, I think that all of this chatter about EVO Xs and STis is "Apples and Potatoes" when talking about the BRZ/ FRS...
